I'm a newbie. I just ordered my stuff on Friday. I think I may have messed up. Tell me if I did, you don't even have to be nice about it!

Here is what I ordered. I suppose that only the first 3 items are important for this post.

Marker: Tippmann 98 Custom
Barrel: Custom Products 16", two piece with .682 bore
Paint: Big Ball ..... 2000 of them!!!
Mask: JT Spectra Thermal
Tank: 12 oz. chrome moly with butt-piece
Hopper: Not yet ...

It'd help if you tell me some good, fairly cheap paint to buy for sighting and just getting used to how the gun shoots. I will probably shoot a ton of 'em.

Thanks.......

big ball is like at it's smallest in the winter .685.....
It is usually .688 to .690.....

Well it is rare to have paintballs .682....

My advice is to try out the paintballs and see if they work and the next time you order paintballs then get RPS All Stars or Slamball...those paintballs are usually very small .682 around.

I think .682 is a little too small for most paints on the market, unless you shoto really small stuff like RPS Evil paint and All Star, still gonna be a bit tight though. I would recommend returning the barrel and exchanging it for a .688 size one. It'll save you a lot of trouble using field paint and finding paint that works well.
