Only if you're going to up the hell out of it. If not the vexor eye will be better.

You can get a remanufactured imagine for 60 bucks from action village. If you had the money I would go with the vexor eye. If you plan to shoot fast at all with the ion (like 9 bps at least) then your going to have to get ONE of the following so you don't chop:

1. Force Feed Hopper (Halo, anything that won't allow your paintballs to be blown out of the feedneck and back up your hopper due to blowback)

2. ACS bolt (not as reliable as a Force Feed Hopper, but cheaper)

3. T-board with eyes.

4. Something to counter blowback such as new bolt.

first of all are spyders really that bad an unreliably? The vexor eye look really nice but how about the piranha evo? Which is better and do i need to upgradet them.

Only if you don't take care of them.

Spyders are cheap and reliable guns. The only problems you'll ever have, usually have easy solution. All those upgrades I recommended are to help you shoot fast without having any chops. (When I say fast I only mean like 9-10 bps)

Unless you spimmy the the spyder you do not want a force fed loader on it. A reloader 2, apache, or egg2 w/ y-board is want you would need. If you even try to use a halo/reloader b it you get nothing but double feeds. The t-board w/ eyes is the best thing to use to get rid of most chops.

Evo> Vexor Eye> Imagine. As a beginner the Imagine is great, in my experiences I have had issues w/ it. The Evo is a great gun, eyes, and a good board. If you can shell out the extra cash for the EVO SE.
This should help:

However, I would get the refurbed imagines because they are so insanely inexpensive. That'll give you room for an eggy(or a forcefeed loader, which will be better later on) or a carbon-fiber tank, with some good goggles.

:)Imagine is a very good gun, and a great introduction to speedball. You DO NOT need a halo hopper if your going stock, i have an apache, and it works fine. The ACS bolt is a godsend, espescially if your in tournaments, but dont expect a miracle. It DOES stop 99% of breaks (never had it break on me but...) It DOESNT stop the gun from jamming up because the bolt still closes. I never even tried the stock barrel, but I like the acuracy on my 14" american teardrop. Co2 Is fine, especially if your not going w/ the T-board, i dont have any experiances with the t-board but i heard very goood reviews.

:(It is a high maitenence gun however, requiring you to oil it after every time you play (witch I think is easy) and it may freeze up in colder weather ('specialy w/ CO2)

Good luck, keep us informed:cool:

Just so you know that is actually pretty low maintanance.

because i dont want to get banned, i won't argue agenst you on this, but compared to a tippmann 98 C it is high maitnenence, lets just leave it at that:eyes:

If high maintenance it taking it apart, cleaning it and lubing it. THen yes.
And don't be afraid to argue w/ someone just don't use foul language to prove your point.:)
