Would the lpk be a good upgrade for the A-5? the local store guy said it wouldn't do much since i have an A-5. He said it would reduce chopping which the A-5 hardly does right from the start. I've heard that it reduces recoil and therefore improves accuracy. So is it a good uprade for the A-5?
By the way, I am getting HPA soon.

Even if you're getting HPA, I wouldn't bother with the LPK. It does decrease recoil and increase efficiency, but I don't see how it would make it chop less. It's really not worth it, as I will now explain...
I have found that the effiency of the stock A-5 on HPA is actually better than I expected. The rule of thumb is 10 shots/ci @3000 psi and 15 shots/ci @4500 psi. My A-5 gets about 920 shots off of my PMI 72/3000. WOW. That's already pretty good efficiency without needing to invest in the LPK, which would also mean investing in an LP tank, which are much more expensive since most are higher-end fiber-wrapped models.
The bottomline is: just get a $60-$100 steel 3k tank. The LPK costs like $120, and a good LP tank is going to be over $100, maybe even $200.
Also, it depends on how you play, but the LPK parts that replace the foregrip can sometimes get in the way during a game.

I agree with him on the efficiency part, my new stock A-5 with the W.A.S. Egrip seems to get pretty good efficiency, it's largely over-stated by the paintball community that the A-5 is a complete gas hog. Yeah it might not be as efficient as my ION but how could it, my Ion runs at 130psi. The A-5 likes it's gas and I'm willing to give it to it cause it's a great performing marker.
IMHO I don't think the LPK is worth the $100 they charge for it, regardless of how much kick or how loud a paintball gun is, it sure as hell doesn't compare to a .22-250, or a .308 rifle, or even my .40 calibre Springfield. I personally could care less about noise either because once you get in a gun fight no one gives a crap about how loud or how efficient your gun is.

i had the lpk kit on my 98c and i dont really think it did much for the gun, i bought an a5 w/rt and i called tippmann to ask about the lpk and the a5 and the tech i talked to said he thinks the gun performs better woithout the lpk kit. i will find out when i get the a5, hopefully by next wednesday :)
