I want to know your advice. I have a Tippmann 98 Custom with a Flatline Barrel system. I am looking to upgrade to a barrel with less distance, because I will never use that much distance, but with a lot of accuracy. What barrel should I get with a a butt-load of accuracy but it doesn't have to have that much distance?

Lapco Bigshot - $50 - not as loud as people say - shoots straightand nice and cool looking

JnJ Ceramic - $40 - quiet, shoots darts

The flatline is accurate at closer distances too, but, if you really want to change, I'd go with a boomie or all-american.

i just ordered a Custom Products two-piece 16" barrel for my 98 Custom. i'm new, but did a lot of reading before ordering that barrel. it got really good reviews. the nice bonus is that you can take off one tip, put on a different sized tip, and make your barrel 10", 12", 14", or 16" long.

it is supposed to be very quick to change out too, and you can basically have more than one barrel on your gun. all you'd have to do is change the tip.

like i said, it's ON ORDER. it was my choice though. i found it for only $45 at www.paintballbarrels.com

here's the link to the company's website:

good luck..............

My buddy has a CP 16" one piece barrel. Even though I think that 16" is a little long, expecially for the M98, but he loves it. He shoots blaze through it and it works wonders. And they are a low priced barrel. Don't spend the money on a boomstick if you can get away with the accuracy for 1/4 of the price.
