why is it that most field paint i have seen is rediculously overpriced. a case of midnights at this one tourny costed 65 bucks. when you can get it at the local hardware store for 45. i know they need to make some money, but comeon.

paintball fields make their money by overpricing their paint. larger fields will sometimes charge more for their paint because they have to pay more people and spend more on the upkeep of their fields

they know that anyone will pay anything for a case of paint, espically if its in the middle of nowhere. i believe a field could get away with selling a box of paint for 80$, even if though its crap

the field that i usually go to sells Stinger for $60/case. luckily they let you bring your own paint

Cases of 2000 paintball used to sell for upwards of $100 US. They've recently knocked the prices down. Basically paint is expensive because of two reasons:
1. The ingredients to make them aren't uber cheap, and
2. The process which the paintballs must go through (how strict they are filtered depends on the price of them) is somewhat rigorous. Many, many paintballs don't pass inspection in the factory.

My field charges 10 freakin cents per paintball. The price drops down a little as you start buying more, but it usually costs me $30-$40 per time I go. Huge rip if you ask me:mad:

well if your hardware store sells it cheaper, buy it there and bring it onto the field... Just make sure it's the same shell and paint fill...
but if you get caught, well the field is going to hate you

theres a field around here that has tourneys every wed. and if you pay 10 bucks you can bring ur own field. it's pretty sweet

:eyes: And your complaining why now? It costs me that much if I play pump. If Im playing semi, it costs me somewhere around $80 to $100 each time I play, lets just forget tournies, that can cost me around $150.

Our field charges $62 for a case. I'm not complaining cause compared to other fields thats decent priced paint. It's not crappy paint ether. www.impactzoneinc.com is the field. I can understand y they charge so much.

The field i play at is good with paint it costs 20 to get in but 15 if u buy a case for 38-45

i get 40 a case at my field, many small fields have to do fpo to stay in business if you want to buy your own paint play in your back yard and let your field close

The field I go to only carries brass eagle paintballs, but you can bring your own paint. It's about $60 per case.

at my field you can bring your own paint and they sell a case of paint for 50

Haha you guys complain about 30 - 100 per time you go try around 200 for me cause my friends are lazy and jobless and wont pay for their own paint and entry fee cause they could " just play woodsball for cheap" and never play at a real field or tourney and play against the same people over and over again.
