View Full Version : Something is wrong.....or maybe im color blind. HELP!

Ive got a smart parts all american black back, which is supposebly medium bore. But i placed some PMI Premium(medium bore) in the barrel and it just rolled out the other end no problem, meaning it so small? I tried over 10 paintballs, PMI Premium because sometimes paintballs range in size, but they were all too small. Did they paint the back of my barrel wrong or something? Whats going on?

It just does that sometimes. I have a cocker with a boomstick and paintballs just roll at sometimes.

pmi premium...is actually small bore (or on the small side of medium)..and shoots best with a barrel that has a bore more like .685....

a med bore barrel is more like .689

i dont think so, i put pmi premiums through my big shots and CPs and they fit perfect . . . it might just be an odd batch or possibly something made them shrink? . . . im pretty sure premiums are closer to .689 though. . .

well...ok...both are .689

but I get roll outs using the .689 back with pmi primiums....and have to raise my pressure to get the fps up

put the .685 back on.....and no roll outs...and lower my pressure...

but ..what every works for you


BTW...primiums are the paint I use the most...

PMI Premium is not small bore paintballs. Keep in mind guys that paintball vary from batch to batch!

Not only do they vary in batch, but you also have to take in consideration that it is *Winter*.... In 70 - 80 degree weather they would have a perfect fit.

our gang has shot about 15-20 cases of premiums in the last 2 months or so,along with the 20+ cases weve sold and all have been .684-.687,i think rp is making them smaller

and yea the weather can affect them but this last weekend it was very warm and they were still no bigger than .686

So what would be the best thing to buy then, Would Powerball work well, they've gotten great reviews and they fit my bore size

i too had some premiums that were way to small for my CP barrel so I emailed pmi about the bore size, one salesperson said that they range from .680-.685. However, I called PMI before recieving this info and the sales person I spoke to said that all of their balls range from .684-.687 and that the size will vary from type to type and batch to batch..so you never know I guess.
