Hello pbreview members,
I am new to the forum, and relatively new to the sport.
Up until a week ago, I had been using an old Spyder Compact, mainly for backyard games and target practice. Now, I have the money to upgrade, and have narrowed it down to three guns:
1) Spyder MR-1
2) Spyder Sonix
3) JT Tac-5

What, in your opinions, would be the best choice for me, out of these three? I've read all of the reviews and did some research, but nothing has really sealed a decision for me yet. Thanks for your help.

I think it would be better to go with a tippmann 98. There are eaiser to work on and more durable than all of those other guns.

all of those will perform about the same, honestly. They're mech-semi-blowbacks with pretty much the same internals. A lot of the difference there is looks. If you want speed down the line, look into getting an eframe (just don't spend too much).

Check out the "concordance" sticky on the top of the page for most guns in the "< $300" range

Thanks guys, I ended up buying a Sonix, it seemed like the best/most affordable choice.

Good choice. The Sonix is the best value out of that list.

I woulda taken the sonix too, but a Tippmann 98 Custom woulda been a great gun too.
