I need flat out a quite barrel but affordable about $-30-$60. I need one that rarely breaks balls and is fast. Help out.for a spyder.

hmmm ... interesting question ... I think you also have to consider what type of marker your using ... Cockers, IMHO, are the quietest ever made, even with the stock barrel ... Angels are also quiet outta the box ... I've got a Piranha STS, which makes some dam noise, I put a Smart Parts tear drop on it, and it made it quieter by taking away the reverb in the barrel. The Piranha stock barrel is thin and light, so I'd get a sound like "Thruum" when I fired, don't have that with the tear drop. I've notice Spyders make some noise too, even those with add-on barrels (Dyes, SP and CP). So, while the barrel may reduce some sound, I really think it depends on what marker you're shooting as to overall quietness.

blow backs make more noise because theyre internals use springs in stead of air. cockers dont make too much noise because it is based on the principals of air flow and suction whichmake very little extra noise. the more porting a barrel has the less sound.

Smart Parts barrels are extremely quiet, accurate, and affordable. I have an Impulse with a 12 in. Teardrop. It runs between 150 and 180 psi and its very quiet, but my friend has a tippmann 98. It's high pressure (and very loud stock), but he put a Smart Stainless barrel on it and the bolt is pretty loud, but his gun is about as quiet as mine. I was very suprised.
