Angels will literally not function on co2. It's impossible. Even simply introducing co2 to the marker will most likely destroy the electronics.

i would avoid it if at all possible and do not recommend it all, but hey, you can do what ever you want. . . try borrowing a tank from a team mate or something.

It has been done before, but the internals were changed to tolerate c02 more. The internals that come standard won't tollerate c02. So don't do it.
you don't wanna ruin your investment do you?

ya that is a pretty big investment to gamble with . . . i would save a little more until you can get a nitro tank with it or just get a used LCD for cheaper (might even get a nicer one) so you will have money for a nitro tank.

Both the LED and LCD manual have this in the warning on the front of the manual....
LED
"The Angel is designed to work with compressed air or nitrogen only. Do NOT USE CO2".
LCD
"Use compressed air only. DO NOT USE CO2".
And they both say "The Angel is not a toy." :D

No offense, but judging by the fact that you even asked the question whether or not you can run CO2 on an angel shows that you shouldn't even have one. It is good that you ask questions but the angel is an advanced piece of work and should NEVER be run on low quality CO2. That's like putting regular unleaded gas in a ferrari, it just doesn't fit.

i was almost positive when i asked what answer what i was gunna get... i just wanted to be sure.. because nitro is really hard for me to afford right NOW. Im in canada also.. the cheapest nitro tank is 160 bucks. But im trying to get a cheap nitro (pmi 48/3000) then get a better one later.
I guess i shouldnt have even asked:rolleyes:
But thanks anyways all:)

hey you can nitro cheaper then that, contact xm65@yahoo.com or on aol at xm65 or the same on yahoo messenger. he can get you hooked up, he runs a store in cali and has great service and prices plus he matches prices so as long as you can give him a link to a lejit site he will match or maybe beat the price and if he doesn't have what you want he will order it for you(most the time). I have bought everything from him and I am very happy with him.

Angels on C02, well that is something I have never seen. Try getting the gun and saving for a nice nitro system before playing. For the time, try barroring or rent a nitro tank(not usally done). I suggest a good ajustable system for the angel, then send everything to a local angel tech and ask them to get everything ajusted perfectly. My local angel tech does it for about 50 bucks.

at the place im buying (badlands paintball), they have an awsome sytem. They put a life time labor warrenty on it and tune up the gun all 4 free. Unless you buy the gun from somewhere else... then its a 150 bucks get that deal.
Angels are an expencive gun... but i need too try it out at the place, along with and intimidator. Because Timmy's are WAYYYYY cheaper, 1000 bucks canadian, for an angel, 1575 buck, not C and C. Any opiniions.

Timmy's and Angels are both really good. I like the custom abilbity of the Timmy and the fact you can talk to Bob Long about the gun when you call the shop. Angels are more expensive but also are older and almost flawless. Your choise. Test both out.

Do yourself a favor, if you do not have the $$ for a decent air system, do not get the Angel. It will not perform up to par with a cheap system and a 48/3000 will barely give you a game.
Keep saving or buy used!!!

im only buyin the tank so i can enter in a tourniment march tenth. Then i will sell the tank to my friend which is already buying my autococker. After that ill buy a pmi 68/4500 tank... then a barrel, intelfeed, and then i think its just about perfect, oh and a volumizer.

i would say thats not that great of a deal . . . im not sure if the new bulldog regs are any good, but the old ones were horrid, my co2 was more consistant . . . i got the tank in my sig for $190 from a local shop, it was new, but they had them for a while and the date was like 10 months old from when i bought it . . . not bad though. . .

There are quite a few people in the UK that run their Angels on Co2. Anything else is hard to come by in some areas, so Co2 is the only thing available.
I'm not positive on the setup; never seen one in person, only pictures. If you really are serious about running Co2, get in touch with someone that knows what their doing.
Professional Paintball would be a good place to start.

if you have the $ to drop on an angel you should be be able to buy a $175 compressed air tank, anyways use compressed air

Yeah, I don't understand that either. He has the money for an angel, but can't buy the tank!

I have to agree, if your getting an angel you can afford to get a basic nitro setup. If you are going to use Co2 you need a tank with an anit-siphin tube in it so that the liqid does not enter your angel, because, if it does your going to need some need parts very soon.

No, he needs more than an anti-siphon. The stock internals won't be able to handle it.
Like I said, I'm not positive of all that goes into the conversion, but I do know than after all of the work involved, it's going to cost you more to be able to run on Co2 than it would cost to buy a basic nitro system.
My advice: break down and buy a $100 preset. If you can't afford it, buy something cheaper than an Angel and use the saved money for nitro.

Heres an idea, how bout you skip that tourney and play one later? Life won't end if you don't play it. Ohh, by the way, it's more like putting diesel in a ferrari not unleaded regular, much worse than that. Now aviation gas.............;)
