I have a Tippmann A-5 and it seems to have little velocity in its shots, i turned up the velocity pretty high and it seems better but i have paintballed with it since i adjusted it, and it seems a bit inaccurate

anyway i wanted to know how much worse is a 14" after stock barrel than a flatline, i was thinkin about gettin a flatine buts its bout 100$ but i wanted to know if a 14" barrel will help the accuracy or a velocity, i know the flatline will but then i will have to go through all summer until september to save up for a flatline barrel, and until then i would have to use my stock, so should i buy the 14" and then buy flatline a little later in october or keep stock and get flatline a around mid sept

Dont bother with the flatline. get a nice one or two piece like the custom products and the 14 will help a bit with accuracy. Compressed air will help with velocity so will the expansion chamber kit with co2

If you need more velocity, get some new springs. And for a cheap barrel, get a CP. Flatlines are inaccurate, but give more distance, while the CP 1 piece is more accurate, and gives more distance, but not as much as a Flatline.

What about a 16" smartparts progressive barrel?
Or an Apex? i heard those are good but,,, cant shoot straight
also this is for woods ball so its either the apex or 16" smart parts progressive

Those are two completely different barrels. One cost $100, one cost $30. I say get a CP. But if you really want an Apex, I'm not stopping ya.

The apex takes some practice
so if you want to take it out of the box and shoot around trees and bunkers with a single shot forget it. its a good investment if you can get good at it.
