What should I add to my Deuce and a half I got for my paintball team

I bought a deuce and a half. Now i'm going to use it for my paintball team and me and my cousin want to start air-smithing. So far we think we may put a work bench, fill station, tool box, and some logos/banners for team and shop once we get kicking. I'm looking for suggestions to put on this beast to make it more paintballish. Or just any ideas crazy or not you think would be neat or funny.

You should rig a container that feeds paint. HAve it setup so you could pour like two cases in it and have a big hose for them to pour out of into your pods on the out side of the truck.

Yeah I don't think I could drive it in the middle of a field ... I could crush people and I'ld never know... I doubt the screaming would last long enough to hear unless I just get a leg. and I don't think giovani makes rims for something like this and they'ld cost more than the truck.
Staging area sounds good... and pod loaders and all. I also like the sound system Idea.:D
i'm a bit POed right now cause I just got some title work I have to sign that says I won't drive it on highways !
does this mean I can't get a tag ? or even if I do I can't use it to go anywhere !?!? :pissed:what the hell man. Oh well I'm gonna try to sort this out.. any one know if this is a standard thing for large military vehicles ? It has a windshield, lights, brakes, turn signals... I've owned a few vintage military vehicles over the last few years and in my state there is a special licensing and tag for military vehicles (vintage) as well as limitations on when and sometimes where it can be driven. Never had a problem on the highway though.. you might be able to get your vehicle into a different class or special classification that bypasses any no highway rules.

anywho.. good luck with it.. from what I know about them, they're loud, bulky, and a blast to own. Any work done to it?

I haven't done anything but re-attach the return line for the brake fluid.
It has had an MWO applied in '89.
the auction house normally tells you if there is something wrong with the vehicle before bidding starts and they write it on the windshield.
on this one they had a piece of paper that said do not drive no brakes on the driver side window and it was rolled down the whole time. they also never stated anything about it before the auction started. but the brakes where fine some idiot just didn't connect the return line for the brake fluid.
-If the state checked it out before sending it to auction could this (lack of brakes) be the reason it says no highway use ?

actually If I could make a fold out netting area with a chrono and targets that'ld be neat... or just bring a chrono and targets .
actually there is a ramp storage place I could roll up some netting and shove it in there...the ramp is missing so I might aswell use it.

Make it an APC (Armored Personel Carrier). Put benches in the back (for people to sit on while they are being trasported), right behind the driver put a machine gun mount with one of these mounted on it http://s34.photobucket.com/albums/d146/BlackHawk0926/th_m2.jpg. Engler Custom Paintball Guns (http://englerpaintballguns.com/engler.htm). Then cut some holes in the sides of the thing covering the back part so people could shoot from inside you APC. An APC would help because you would be able to trasport people to battles without them being shot. It already has benches in the back. so that's good to go and it has a canvas cover but it's worn out pretty bad has a hole in the back ...

doubtful but I wouldn't count it out completely.. if memory serves the M35 is not a great driver on paved roads especially if it's running duals on the rear. I never owned one (thinking about getting one) so I can't really comment with any degree of personal experience. I've also never heard anyone have that problem. Best bet is call your local DMV and find out why.. go from there. Let me know tho, I'd like to know why they've put a highway restriction on it.

The deuce is road worthy ! the no highway use is because I didn't have the auction house get me a tag it's just them covering their hide.
from what they said when I talked to them.

My cousin and I are working on getting a fill station, and we will strap it in the deuce when we go out. We also want to start airsmithing and doing custom work so we are going to add a toolbox and parts.

actually it was made before '85 so I can run it off vegitable oil without modifying it (supposedly) it's a diesel and it didn't seem to use much last time I used it. but yeah, I'll have to see when I start taking it out more...

after the auction one guy who checks your slip that you paid before you drive off said that thing runs ? we should've put a reserve on that ...
then he asked what I was gonna use it for and when I told him he looked dissapointed,suprised, and confused all at once :P. dude driving that thing is great. EVERYONE looks at that thing EVERYONE some even wave . hey you think Pbreview wants to put a plug/banner on it ? I will only charge a small premium to help pay for....well diesel is $3 now so a medium premium. j/k
but if they happen to send me a banner in the shape of a big tombstone that I can use as a back flap to cover cargo area I'ld put it up ;).

I just kinda stumbled upon this one I never thought I'ld own one but here I am... there are government auctions that sell them search for "m35a2 (<-that's the type of truck) government auction"
but make sure you'll get a title. some are saying no title will be issued...
In that case you might end up in a aggrivating situation to get a tag.
just keep your eyes peeled ask D-day oklahoma where they got theirs, maybe ?...

I just got a Tag and put it on man it looks so nice... and legal.
and from what I gather from this panel on the truck the deuce can haul a 5,000 pound payload. and tow 6k cross country and 10k highway.
anyone know any good marine radios to put in the deuce ?

aside from from that I'ld say check the phone book for auction houses car auctions etc. and see if the house gets police vehicles like cop cars and old ambulances also if they get dump trucks and semis. if they do you might want to attend and if they send out news letters for thier next auctions it may list stuff they will have stop by on the viewing days and see what they got. It took about 1-1/2 to 2 years before I saw/they got the deuce.
other than that just search the web... or just talk to people as I said before I just stumbled onto mine....

BE, I found out some info on the Duece and half...apparently it is multi-fuel, will burn most anything, regular gas, diesel, alchohol, kerosene, turpentine, even jet fuel.

Thing is, it eats fuel like no tomorrow, and can only go 300 miles on one tank of gas. It's a high (or low torque) vehicle.
