I heard that they're the same barrel but different materials. Is that true? If so, which is more accurate, better honed I should say. If anybody knows, what is the weight of a 12" SS and a 12" Alumin

The dye aluminum is louder than the stainless steel.

disregard the post above...

The two barrels in comparison:

The aluminum one is black, lighter than the stainless steel, but just as accurate and quiet.

The stainless steel is nice chrome and heavier, and the same accuracy and quietness.

Get the aluminum if you run your gun on remote and want your gun light as possible or if you want a black barrel.

Get the stainless steel if you want your gun to be balanced if u have your tank on gun or if you want it nice shiney chrome to match your other parts.

Exact same barrel. The SS version is just nicer to look at and heavier. Well described above...

I agree with soyboy's post. They are the same barrel. The SS will hold up a bit better; I have seen alot of aluminum barrels with internal wear. I choose my Dye 10" in aluminum over the SS simply because of weight. I love that lightweight pistol look and feel it gives my mag!
