How about you tell us what is wrong with your Flatline instead of spamming a stupid picture. All you've said is "it curves". What type of paint are you using, does your gun shoot CO2 or HPA, what velocity, when is the last time you've cleaned your barrel, etc.

you mean the paintballs fly in a curved path, or the barrel itself is curved? :dodgy:

I mainly use gameface scorch and el tigre. But once i used Pmi super swirl but they all wont work in my gun. the paintballs just curve in every direction. one time i was shootin at my friend 40 feet away and i was aiming right at him and it took me about 100 shots to hit em. i use co2 and cleanit every ball break and when i get home.

You might just have one of those pain-in-the-rear Flatlines. I've seen some of the 98 Flattys work great, and others that just don't cooperate no matter what the user does. However even the best Flatline has inconsistent accuracy to some degree. Make sure your expectations aren't too high.

What's your velocity?

from everything youve said im thinkin you just have a pain in the rear flatline. one that no matter how much you adjust and clean and try different paint in it never works. i remember when my buddy got a flaline on his a-5 and he was all excited and after he got it on and shot it he was sooo disapointed with it. i was like wow really let me shoot it. and i shot it and loved it. sometimes it really is just expectations being too high. but enough of me rambling. if you shot at your friend from 40 feet and didnt hit him after that many balls your flatty is junk. i remember being able to hit a basketball from about 65 or 70 with my buddy... at least 7 or 8 times out of 10.

Some people say the balls from the Flatline travel so slowly that they can be dodged. Let's rationalize. At 280 FPS the ball leaves the barrel approaching 190 MPH. A human being standing 60 feet away has 0.20 seconds from the time the ball is fired until impact. How far can you move in 0.20 seconds? Your mind can't even register that the trigger was pulled in that amount of time. So I'm dubious about claims that people "dodge" paintballs. Are you?

sorry, I just had to answer this question. no. the balls (once they travel as far as they are going to) travel are so slow that
1) they are easily dodged
2)you can catch them with your bare hand
3)there is no chance that they will break (unless they hit your googles)

however, if you are shooting someone from only 60 feet away, a flatline is no different than any other barrel, so you cannot do any of those three things.

same happend to me at my last big game date, i was curving like a friggin 90 degree curve all around...usually this can be solved by turning up the velo a tad, it straightens out the tragectory for a while but then it need re-ajusting

my flatty is only 3 months old, and used it once so far [in game]. another way this is effected can be the inside suface of the flatline barrel, my buds say if its not properly squeeged with the right tool, overtime it will erode away causing the sand-papery suface to lose its grip on the ball, wich gives it its backspin as it exits the barrel. and thats my input.

The # 1 reason people hate flatlines is because they cant get them to work correctly, and the reason they cant get them to work correctly is that they are un educated.

Read the ultimate stick and the thread on how to install and maintain un educated.

It sounds like a problem with the velocity and or bore size of the ball. If the "curve" is what i think it is, it sounds like the H effect (helicopter effect) caused by to much backspin.

You are vague on your description.

dude, grow up. he was asking for some more info.

aaaanyways. i know that when you shoot a gun with a flatline, you have to hold it straight up and down, not tilted to the side. if you do that it can curve. :dodgy:

All of these posts could be the reason, however as a flatline owner, your velocity is turned up to high. That is causing your paint to curve. Check you velocity with a chrono to 260-275 fps and this will fix your problem.
