New ACT technology

Hey, does anyone know whether or not tippmann will sell the ACT bolt as an aftermarket part? I've seen how the system works, and all they'd really have to do is sell a special bolt to convert old 98C to the new kind, but i don't know if they will or not. Anyone heard?

I seriously doubt it. Installing the ACT on an old m98/98c/CP would require modification to the receivers. I don't think Tippmann will do anything about that.

i just got my 98c about a month ago and now they came out with ACT 2 weeks after i get it...it made me die a little in side

tippmann really oughta make this a mod..i think myself as well as half the other 98 rocking kids out there would like to see this made into an aftermarket mod..its too good of a mod to not be made aftermarket upgradable for ol tippies

i hope so, with all these new mods by tippmann like e-bolt, e-grip, and now A.C.T., my 98c is sorta bland. well, i did get mine like three years ago, before e-bolt and even before the custom pro, e\when the response trigger was the hottest thing...

There is a home mod that works in almost the same way. You might the info if you run a search.

i wouldn't consider home-modding, although i guess if it went terribly wrong and you destroyed your gun you would be forced to buy a new 98C with the ACT stuff anyhow

Yea I seen that home mod the other day and to tell you there's not much to do. It looked easy.
