Could anyone explain the benefits of and differences between regulators and expansion chambers?

regulator...good..because it regulates the pressure going into the marker....more stable pressure...
x -chamber...bad....(not really)....just a different animal all together....it is used to give C02 and liquid Co2 room to expand....but as it expands....pressure incresses..so what starts out as 800 psi can incress to as much as 1200psi or more..if it is hot enough outside ..
so...with CO2...if you have an x-chamber....or run a remote....(or some other device to give your c02 some place to expand)..and a regulator between that device and a regulor....you can still regulate that co2 after it expands...(this is the problem they say about the shutter...the regulator comes "before" not "after" the regulator)
