I still haven't decided on a gun yet, so I was wondering if there are any new guns coming out soon that are under $400. I would prefer a semi automatic gun since I'm not a big fan of electro's.

tippmann has a new gun coming out, I think it is electro though. Spyder will probably have a new semi for the spring, since they come out every month practically.
for your price range, i say the impulse.i shot one last week and it was incredible. i wish i had the $ to go out and buy one myself. i know it's electric but whats so bad about it? or you could always just get a semi auto spyder and trick it out with a barrel, revy, a good reg and nitro.(all for 400 bucks)

If you wana be unique.....
THe people who built the Nova went out of business or something, but the company that still services, and sells parts for the nova, is supposedly coming out with a nex gun that can shoot at 30 PSI!
I think that'd be cool to see a guy at the field with one of those, and if you got good with it, it'd be even sweeter...
a gun that shoots at 30 PSI:confused: ?????????? is that posible? thats beyond low preasure, thats no preasure! it prolly shoots at like 5 fps.

Sure, many guns cycle at 35psi or so.
Currently the lowest pressure a marker uses to propel a ball is the Nova's 90 psi followed by the Shockers 180.

- Tippmanns'll be out around April-ish. And no, it's not electro. Not stock electro, any ways!
- And yes, next week the Spyder Shimmy comes out.

Actually, the Matrix is about 140. Or so stated.
And the Lunacy, if it comes out, will operate on 25psi.

my matrix operates at just less than 90psi (shocktech lpr)
the impulse runs at about 140
nova and mayhem are that low too.
shocker is about 160 or so....
but my matrix doesnt even sound like a marker firing...
it sounds like a vacum (suction cup) breaking.....
a small, wet sounding, pop.
it is great.
why you would want any lower than that, I dont know.
my matrix wont chop, and it is the most quiet marker on the field.
25psi is absurd. (although I would want to play with one just for the hell of it.)

25-30psi would waste so much gas...

Tippmann A-5 will be out in a couple of months.

Actually, the Lunacy is supposed to be VERY efficient, even at 25-psi.

I don't know... Well, I guess I'll wait for it to come out. Warpig will tell all.
You know, this site should have official marker reviews.... :)

That would make for a virtually silent marker... I like that idea, even if it meant fewer shots to an air fill.

Who makes the Lunacy? It sounds interesting.
www.unitedpaintball.com has the first of the lunacy's which is the Darkstar. it runs at 90psi. it is a gas hog though. United sells them only though. Section 8 is the maker. pbnation has a good thred about it. it is under the "PGI" topic in the specfic markers area. Also the lunacy will get 1,800-2,000 per 68ci 3,000psi tank. That is insane. Note: the nova matrix lunacy mayhem and darkstar all use the spool valve. this is what makes them super low pressure.
Spool valve, and very large regulators.
Actually, the Darkstar is slightly different from the lunacy. Since the lunacy will have a stationary barrel instead of articulating. That's just one different, it's mostly internal.
They say cocker threads, we'll find out.
www.splatmaxx.com is their site, i think.

We are talking about the pressure used to propel the ball right? Not the pressure that moves the bolt?
