Gas problem... WTF?

I took my A-5 apart the other day and I reassembled it. Later I went out and when I screwed my 9oz co2 in, my gun just blasted off a few shots by itself, no paintballs. Whats going on?

tank is low. EDIT- did you cock the gun before screwing the tank in?
