My friends nerve will shoot fine for a few shots, then gets really quiet like it is low on air or is having dropoff. After he pauses from shooting it will fire normal, or af This happens when he dryfires and uses paint. Would he need to change his dwell?(to what number?) what does he have to do to fix this problem

Increasing the dwell may assist, as could increasing the LPR pressure. He may also need to turn his re-charge setting up (to reduce the rate of fire).
His inline regulator may need cleaning and re-lubricating. There is a possibility that his air system cannot keep up. Make sure that there is good air flow from the air system to the marker - sometimes if the air system is screwed all the way in to the ASA, the ASA's degassing pin can actually block air flow from the bottle.
Try changing the battery - he may just have sluggish solenoid response due to a low battery.

is he using LP or HP, if he is using LP his tank recharge might not be fast enough. In which case he would need either a fastar recharging tank or a HP tank.
