i play on astroturf, and it gets really slippery from the paint. i wear a pair of globes (skate shoes), and 90% of the time i slip on the break. what are some good shoes besides cleats (my field wont allow them), and that are affordable?

I have always liked indoor soccer shoes for playing indoors. You can pick them up rather cheaply at places such as www.soccer.com and various other sporting good stores. Another set of shoes you can look into are turf shoes. I play soccer at an indoor field and they alow turf shoes that seem to work really well.

I'd reccomend turf shoes as well if they'd allow it, or something like a pair of New Balance shoes. Basketball shoes might work, but I wouldn't reccomend them because in my experience, even a bit of water (paint, or w/e) and they are very slippery.

turf shoes, and no cleats is stupid. Also if they don't allow cleats they probably won't allow track shoes because those even have medal studs...

Does your field not allow just sports cleats, or do they not allow paintball cleats also?If they dont allow both, get anything else but a skate shoe, in my opinion skate shoes dont get good traction on anything but griptape.

Grab some tennis shoes intead of the skate shoes. You want something with a little bit of tread.

ftw. just don't put in the metal spikes, as the field owner would probably castrate you for it.

Cleats, soccer cleats won't tear up turf. Tell the manager or something.

go to wal-mart, buy the rawlings cleats there. (yeah i know you said no cleats) but they are rubber on the bottom, and if they honestly dont allow rubber, non-marking cleats... then the field is freakin retarded.

ANYTHING other than a skate shoe will work. i wore my adios one day to the field, and i too slipped on the break

I used to play reader rabbit when I was a kid. On my old school pentium 286. Back when we had to use something called "DOS."

look into some adidas turf cleats... they are indoor soccer shoes with little rubber "bumps" that will give major traction even in wet conditions.

jt cleats will probably work for you. they only have a ton of rubber on the bottom, no spikes or anything to mess up the turf.

No wonder your slipping, you using skate shoes. I love my etnies to death but they get absolutly no grip on grass. Any good pair of running shoes should be fine.

thats a load of bull, just because someone plays back doesnt mean they walk to their bunker.
