I thought that someone should post in this forum. Anyhow, what I like to do is put most of my team in an advanced position (we play a lot of attack/defend) and leave one or two teamates (preferably snipers) just a short distance behind the rest. The key is to put the snipers out of veiw of the attacking force preferably around a corner or any where that they are hidden due to the angle of their line of fire. Once the "ambush" is under way have the front line make a short "retreat" BEHIND (not directly behind, DUH) the position of the snipers. As the attacking force advances they are drawn through the line of fire of the snipers they didn't know where there.:) Once all that goes down you should have the enemy flanked on at least one side. It seams kind of simple but it's surprising how effective it can be. Oh and one other thing, you better have good snipers because once engaged they can become very voulnerable. Of course that doesn't matter if the first shot hits it's mark.:D

me and my friends are going to use an attack very similar to that but we will leave 2 to hid and send one up to get the teams attention, we never get big enough games for a whole group to run up :(

I think it would work good either way. I think it's a nice strategy because uses their attack mentality against them and allows you to control them (well a little bit).

das a pretty good idea....although sometimes sniping doesnt work AT ALL. shoot...u take one shot a a person....miss...and suddenly 20 people are spraying at you.

Yeah, it's a good idea to avoid stranding snipers. But man, there's nothing like a sniper attack to put the fear of death in you!

yeah man...nothing worse than thinkin tat you got a kick butt bunker...but then you see these shots come from nowhere...so now your kick butt bunker has essentially turned into a prison...cuz you cant move or the sniper will get you..

and there is about NOTHING worse(well within the rules) than getting one shot in the goggles from someone you never see...

what sucks is if u dont know whose shooting at u, so u move, and u end up going closer. I wa splaying, when this kids gun screwed up, and i though he left and went out, but he didnt. He hide, kept shooting at me, i had no idea where it was coming form. Thenm y player form the other side of the field told me to help him, so i ran down the hill as fast as i could, only to find out i was right next to the guy who i htough was out, i moved behind a tree, which expose my baco to someon, then when i move again, my back was expose to another. I was surroned by three people, so i jsut went crazy shooting. Got two of them out before i was shoot in the mask, but my temate was able to sneak up behind the kid who got me while he ws shooting, shot him in the back, and we won, it wa great.

We play in groups of 40, 20 per team. Our last time we played we decided to have our whole team rush as soon as the Reff blew the whistle. They never expected this it was so fun. The game was over in about 3 Min. After that they were afraid to run up and get position at the start of the rest of the games.

That tactic is kind of incomplete, and ususally after an attack, the opposing team camps and waits for the next wave (at least in rec games). What would be cool is if the attacking team retreated, and the snipers backdoored them competely. Once they've been found the attacking force somes through in a second wave and pinches them. Just a thought.

Well most of the woods feilds at my local feild are quite narrow, so the risk of gettin backdoored is slim.
The best tactic seems to be a hard hitting offense with few to no back players.
When we concentrate our guys up front the massed firepower usualy is enough to break a layered defense. And snipers are ineffective due to the fact that they awy most of me and my friends play is to continually move and shoot, so a "sniper" has no time to pick anyone off.
The only exception is on this one feild along a lake. There is a large peninsula that sticks out into the lake and curves towards the other side of the feild. WHen a few guys get in there it is nearly impossible to get em out. WHile it is possible to get up parralel to them and shoot sideways, often you will get shot before making those foward bunkers.
The only downside to this offense is that if the other side leaves alot of guys back, we could get destroyed on the break.

No, when they saw all of us in a group runing full speed at them they all turned and ran toward their flag. We lost a few guys but they had no chance. This was a rec game and there was only one wave because they were way spread out.

Sorry, I never heard of the term Aggressive game. To me aggressive is when someone is hunting me down so they can paint me.

yeah those snipers can be sneaky, we were playing two on two, my team mate and i knew the position of one of the guys but not the other, we saw this as a big threat because the chances of him taking us out from the back was pretty good. so i left my bunker and started looking for him, after walking about 15 feet watching downfield, i look to the left and all I see is a purple ball fly up from a big field of tall grass and it hits me square in the neck. The only place in the whole woods i didn't look, the only 15 square feet where there were no trees, one shot he got me right in the neck. I'll tell ya, i'll never make that mistake again.
