View Full Version : Who really manufactures the JT guns?

I have had this theory now for quite some time that both the JT Excellerators, Brass Eagle Avengers and Viewloader Genesis guns are being produced under contract wether it be JT or Brass Eagle, with Kingman. Here is my reasoning, tell me what you think.

1 - The Bottomline. All three of the above mentioned models use the infamous off-set bottomlines found on the Spyder line of guns. Aside from guns produced by Kingman, these types of bottomline are rare on any other make of gun.

2 - Spyder Threads. I know, you're probably saying "hey, alot of guns use Spyder threaded barrels". But consider this, IF Kingman was producing these guns, the barrels most certainly would be Spyder threads, as no gun that has come off of Kingman's lines has ever had otherwise.

3 - Metric threaded hoslines. Can someone verify this for me? It seems some people are having trouble making standard (1/8") hoselines thread properly into the Excellerator's BL adapter (I only say the Excellerator because I havent really cared to check out the Avenger too much). Is this because the BL adapter is metric threaded like all Spyder?

Well thats all I have to back it up right now, but as I think im sure to come up with more. What do you guys think?

An interesting theory, and it does seem fairly likely. Considering Brass Eagle owns VL and JT, it would make sense to contract each with the same place to save money.

it seems likley.Have you ever looked at the revelation, avenger and the genesis? if you take some stuff off the genisis and the volumizer off the revelation they look exactly the same except for they have differemt paint jobs.

Yeah, but so far the JT guns I haved used have been a TON better than anything that is actually made by BE.

i think a spyder bolt will work, its a litle longer, but the part with the o-rings and the part that connects to the botom bolt line up with each other. so it would just stick out the back of your gun more, and you might not be able to cock it because the beavertail might not be long enough. but it will work as long as the beavertail doesnt get in the way

The 3.0 and 4.0 were made before BE even bought JT, and JT is just a branch of BE. BE hasn't done to them, what they've done to VL. The Excellerators from JT are turning out to be solid guns (all metal), and can easily be labeled as the best at that price. The 3.0 has a few things wrong with it, but the 4.0 has those kinks worked out. The JT masks are still great, and hopefully JT won't let BE take full control.

No way man, I believe JT was purschased by BE around the time of the ZAP IAO 2000, bout the same time Raven was purchased by Kingman.

What information is one the box. Are they made over seas? That should give you the answer.

Reference the post below, I have heard of that company. Who knows the box could be in the USA and the gun in China or some place. You never know anymore.

I have heard that the true company that makes the JT markers a a company called Nu Line. This is just what I've heard so don't rely on it too much.
