Syder SE or Shutter

I am relatively new to paintball and I am looking for a decent gun. I was going to get the syder SE but then i saw the shutter, i cannot see the difference except in the price, why is the shutter more? is it a better gun? are they reliable guns? thanks for you input

Well i guess it's self preference, but i'd got with the shutter... i've got several friends with them and they wouldn't tradem. It's got a regulator with gage, drop forward, mini expantion chamber, rear cocking, u can get it in several colors, decent stock barrel, quick strip pin and more.. Everything on it is better then the se cept fo the xpantion chamber which is a mini on the shutter and a full six stage on the se, but whatever u wan't it pretty much a good choice.

dont get da SE. they arent too good...i'd rather go for the shutter, or IMO just get the Tlplus. ur more than likely going to replace da parts on da shutter, so just get a less upgraded stock version...the TLPlus, and upgrade that. its only 150$ and very nice. also...da spyder SE has a hardline...which is no good.

pbsoulja is right, the only bad thing about the se is the hardline so you cant get drop forward or reg. without some mods, but its possible. i got mine cuz i wasnt planning on those anyway, mabey ill do it later, but i love my se. My frind has a shutter and he says its exactly the saem as the se except it has mini x chamber, reg and guage, lp chamber and none of those work. they are all "mini this" and "mini that". you will just end up replacing them, if you plan on getting really good reg and stuff like that, go with the tl plus or xtra, cuz they are easy to upgrade. but if you are going to play in cold a lot and dont really want those air accesories (except x chamber cuz its already there and is really good) go with the se. either way your good, never seen the tl plus perform, but i wouldnt get a shutter

both have design flaws but you'll end up replacing it all like that kid said. I got the SE simply cuz I like the anodizing. Whatever.

Screw that, man. Shutters are crap. The TL+ is a way better gun for a lot less money, dude. Get A TL+ or an SE. You can get a remote and nitro right off the bat and be very comfortable. SE's rock, they are one of the only two good guns spyder makes. But you should get a piranha, they are ten times better than anything kingman has. The sts, ext and pro are pro series markers at an entry level price! I have an STS and it blows my SE out of the jungle, man. Comes with better stock barrel, true venturi, nickel plated internals, N2 ready, no hard line to mess with, Ram air, and smokes out rounds. It's a bad marker, man. And it only cost me 149.99 at BBTpaintball.com. You can get them for the extremely low price of 129.99 at Predatorpaintball.com. An awsome value, one of the best in paintball. And all piranhas have shorter trigger pulls with a lot less play. Spyders have crap triggers. Except the SE it has a metal trigger or aluminum or something, but it is durable and feels strong. SE all the way unless I can convince you to look at that Piranha STS at Predator. It has single trigger in the picture, but that's not what they're selling. It is the G2 when it get's to your house, a friend of mine ordered it from there. Compare features, man, you'll see!

Get the spyder Xtra. It just came out. Just like the shutter except it is alot cheaper and it doen't all that crap on it, like the useless gauge(that is not very accurate). The Xtra is also vertical feed so you can increase your rate of fire a little.

You do the math.....

TL+ $230
Shutter $280
Xtra $190 ***Winner***

If you get the Xtra you can get the well needed upgrades that all spyder guns need like a new barrel, new bolt and maybe an ELCD grip frame.
This is just my opinion.
Shutter's and TL+' are very nice guns but a little pricey for the lack of stuff you get.

Thats your opinion, I like green. Its better than the shutters blue and red IMO.
And the prices that I posted were just an estimate by me, I didnt check.

I'm not trying to offend. Your right. I like classic black, but most people I know think it's too plain. Black floats my boat, though. And I saw that xtra. It's got grey too, but I don't really like it. It sounded good, but piranhas got guts. Nickle plated, true venturi style guts. The xtra does have vert feed if that's your thing!
