Um, why? They work just as well fiber-wrapped tanks, cost less, and don't have to be hydro-tested as often as their fiber-wrapped counterparts. Sure they weigh more, but if you can't handle the extra 1 pound, you're a wimp.

No it doesn't its almost identical in design and function.

Old school spyders are kind of bland now, but Kingman makes 30038401 different versions of the same gun, and there really isn't any difference between them.

Ya Jaron they are. The trigger frames are SORT OF different, I mean nothing against Black Draguns I think they are a steal for the price, but they are basicly just a spyder with a slightly different COMPOSITE frame...thats the main difference. Thats why those frames will work on spyders.

No dude, we AREN'T being impossible. Cars are different than paintball markers to some extent. You would have been better off comparing a Firebird to a Camaro. Different yes, but they are very similar. What do you think is the difference's between a Black Dragun and a Spyder? Were not comparing two drasticly different markers like a Shocker and a Phantom or something?

With markers, function effects form. They way they work effects how they are built, designed and shaped. A Spyder is a blow-back stacked tube design same as your black dragun.

not to mention that fiber wrapped tanks have a higher capacity of air. not only are steel tanks not manufactured in bigger sizes that 68 ci (probly due to weight), fiber wrapped tanks have the abilitiy to be filled to 4500 psi (in most cases).

When someone has a 114 ci Nitro tank, Warp Feed, and 14 inch Ram Rod on a Classic Mag, seen one about a month ago. I seen him on the field shooting what looked like a warp feed with a Huge Nitro tank and custom barrel sticking out one end of it. After the game was over, I took a look at it and about pissed my pants. Wish I took a pic.

Those last two are both starting to get into Wagner territory: taller than they are long. :rolleyes: Once you Battery-Operated-People get yer Revvy 12v on top, and a fairly massive HPA on an even more fairly massive drop, both of those guns will be about 50% taller than they are long. Eeeeeeeeew.

the gun is just too long, it makes the low rise look out of place, and the bead blasted finish makes it look like plastic, the milling isnt very nice looking either, now dragon timmys...thats a different story...

Yeah, it doesn't look as nice on the new bodies (due to that slot in the side) and the non-vert feed bodies just don't look as nice with that milling either ( the r/f, l/f bodies just don't cut it). I could definitly see how it could be ugly to some....maybe its an aquired taste~

Cool, I agree. I like the old slab side shockers (reminds me of 240 volvos!) and sort of like GZ's the I think the Dragon's are a bit to much for me.

Course, I like my Fly's milling cause it is simple, sleek and agresive looking.

you dont just "empty batteries"....


a shocker gets 150,000 shots off a battery.
impulse gets 50,000. it says on smartparts website. so dont worry about that. and dude, you dont have to shoot fast wif an electro. its there but you dun have to use it. and duh,duh duhduhuhdudhududh, if you shoot more paint, he will more liey be hit. any imp, shocker, angel, bushy, cocker, matrix or anything can lay down paint faster than your spyder. and batteries are no more of a problem than..well....nothing.

I think he was saying that he doesn't need to pay the extra $$$ for the blazing fast ROF. Besides, one paintball makes a kill, and I have many times been eliminated by a Spyder. People so often forget how this sport is played....it doesn't matter how fast your gun shoots, or how pretty it is. I think Mike here has nailed it on the head. Mike, more power to you!

Well, i've been looking into an autococker, but i keep seeing Impulse...impulse..impulse...all over the place. So i went and checked them out too. And with the exception of the nasty and maybe one other, these guns are probably some of the ugliest and clumbsiest looking guns i've ever seen.

I know i'll probably get flamed for this, but keep in mind, oppinions are like *****holes ;) Everybody's got one

Yeah, I have to agree about the Impulse...the Smart Parts guns in general are pretty ugly. Some of the special milling jobs can make the imp and the shocker look pretty nice (the Rats are pretty sweet as well as the new shockers).
