View Full Version : Bolt Failing to cycle

on my tippmann 98, sometimes the bolt dosent go all the way back, itll get most of the way there and get jammed, all i have to do is pull it the rest of the way and its good to go again but its been doing it a lot lately, i have a shadow bolt on it and it never jammed with the stock bolt on the guni dont wanna lose-in the body screws around the bolt anymore so im not sure what else to do to prevent this, plz help, thx

That can be caused by either shootdown, or that you pinched a ball, luckily not chopping it. Many tippy users have the same problem, and those 2 /\ are usually the culprits, in most cases, just pinching balls.

So the bolt goes back half way and sticks? It's your after-market bolt. Check the hole in the bolt where the steel connecting rod goes in and compare its depth to the stock bolt. If the hole is too shallow, the rod will stick up higher than normal and get pushed up into the top of the connecting rod channel.

Check the cover plate on the cocking slot for the Shadow, sounds like that might be obstructing the bolt. Make sure that you detent is facing the proper direction as well.

Coenen got it, i worked on welling out the area around the screws and that solved my problem, thx guys
