Okay, I've got plenty of stuff on my tippy, but one thing I don't have is an expansion chamber. I'm wondering what the best one is. I want something to run on my 98C. If you guys could let me know, that's be great. Thanks a lot!

Just get the Tippman upgrade expansion chamber, i think its 6 stage and besides it will fit within the foregrip of the Custom 98. Makes a nice long foregrip.

Thanks for you answer, but I have a newer question. I'm looking at a Psycho Ballistics X-Core 8 stage X-Chamber and I'm wondering if people have used them on their 98s, and if so, what they thought.

X-core is the best expansion chamber available. It's also one of the least expensive. Check out our hosechart for what length hose, fittings, etc. you'd need for your specific setup. Don't forget you'll need a vertical adapter too if you don't already have one.

my friend has an x-core and it is by far the best one on the market!

I'm gonna repeat what other people above me have said: The x-core is hands down the best expansion chamber out there. And to make it an even better idea for the Tippy, add on the Pyscho Ballistics Universal drop forward with the two 90* macroline fitting kit. That's what I use and I'm loving the feel of the 98--much more balanced and constant on C02. Plus, it's better than the Tippmann x-chamber.

Mike at county paintball is god yes :)

but i was told by my friend who works at the national paintball warehouse in new jersey that there is no noticeable performance change between a 4 and 8 stage x chamber, they will all work the same pretty much

i just bought the GTA x-chamber kit from nationals for 40$ factor in that if you got the PS xcore is 15 w/vert ad 20, then fitting kit is 10, then shipping....i payed like 5-10$ less...and my friend installed it for free and i got it that day

then again if you dont live 10 minutes from national paintball countypaintball is probably the cheapest way to go and follow mike's advice :)

What fitting kit? Mine went in right and I never bought any fitting kit?
The vertical adaptor was 20 bucks, and it was the only thing I needed for my 98c.
So 15 for the chamber and 20 for the vert adaptor was all I paid.
And anyways, its not hard to install, you should be able to do it yourself.

Anyways, I just got an X-core chamber and my gun is still snowing, granted, not as bad as it was last week, but yesterday when I shot off burst, it still snowed. I thought it should of fixed this. It was colder yesterday then last week, so yes it did make a difference. But still...
My step bro has an ACI chamber (if memory serves correct) and he didnt snow once. What gives?

Don't know what the problem with your chamber is...I live in maine and play all the time in cold weather and I never get and snow from my gun. You could've gotten a slightly defective one. Try talking to Psycho Ballistics about it.

My friend also got one the same time, and his gun was snowing as well. But not nearly as bad as mine.

But I was also pulling off like 8-9 bps in 40 degree weather repeatedly.

But my friend wasnt shooting as fast as me though.

The snow could also be a result of moisture (in the air or in the gun). If your gun is heavily oiled or if it's just a damp day so you have a lot of moisture in your gun, you'll see more of the snow.

Rapid firing will also chill the CO2 more and result in increased snow. The x-chamber helps a lot, but nothing is 100% under extreme conditions (rapid fire, cold weather, etc.)

The real test is on the chrono. If you see improved consistency in your velocity, it's doing it's job.

Hey Mike, thanks for all of your help. I am planning on getting an expansion chamber from you guys no matter what. I'm talking about it with a friend of mine that knows paintball a great deal more than I do and we're gonna look them over once more and decide what would be best for me. Whatever happens, I'll be sure to post my opinion of the product on this thread. Oh, one other thing, if you could give me the dimensions of that 8 stage x-chamber, that would be great. (length, width, etc.) Thanks again for all of your help.
To everyone else out there: If you're looking for an expansion chamber, check out http://www.countypaintball.com They have some of the best prices I've seen around, as as you can see, their staff is very helpful.

Okay guys, I have a new question for you. Go back to the Tippmann forum and look for my question about a regulator. You've been helpful so far, I was hoping you could help me again. Thanks.
