Which is the best gun out of these four: Terminator T3, Model 98 Custom, Shutter, Pirana G3? Rate on upgradability, ease of use and overall.

welllllllllllllllllllllllllll, I'm going to give the terminator it because they all perform the same, however the terminator looks way more sexier stock. it's a nice top cocking, blow back gun, that can take most parts from a spyder, has spyder threads, and the best part is *gasp* IT DOESN'T CRAP OUT ON YOU LIKE A SPYDER DOES!
plus this also should be in the blowback forum. but really out of all of them, they perform the same basically, but the terminator wins in looks that is for sure.

I say shutter (c'mon look at my name!) It is very easy too use. This is a list on how easy guns are to take apart and maintain.
1. Piranah g3
2. Shutter
3. Terminator T3
4. C98
That is my opinion... ( Ive take apart G3 + Shutter and looked at a review on Term.)
- Hey Terminator Venom, about your Sig.(the bottom thing) The only you will see Me on the field is when you feel 8 sharp pinches on your back in one second...

In my opinion, the T3 is best. I've owned or handeled both the shutter and tippmann, but I love the T3.
As for ease of use, it's the same principle as a Spyder, but there are many benefits.
1.) All aluminum trigger frame, spyder's are plastic and the tippmann has a single trigger.
2.) Bolt has no O-rings. This decreases matience.
3.) Top cocking.
4.) Quick strip (literally 3 seconds)
And, like Y2K stated, it looks alot better, especially a red and chrome one like I have :D .
You do know this would be better in the blowback forum. But remember, not many people handeled a T3, where as a whole boatload at least tried a Shutter, so don't let that factor in on what you choose to buy.

Okay well the T3 is 150 and Shutter is $160. So for only 10 more dollars the Shutter comes with an awesome regulator. But I guess the T3 is easier to take apart. T3 3 secs. Shutter about 8-10 secs.
So I would still go with the Shutter because with the regulator you will get increased shoot grouping.

I ain't flaming Spyder's, and will admit that they have a regulator, where as the T3 doesn't but...
Shutter: plastic frame and macroline= matience
T3: not one plastic piece on it with SS hose= longer lasting and less wear.
I would also personally buy a cheap aftermarket regulator than keep any stock regulator, with maybe the Timmy's being the only exception.

remember that's a kingman reg. so of course it's either:
a) going to crap out on you the first day
or b) is going to crap out on you in the first year.

I say T3 all the way. Shutters are ok but I would never put them over my T3 in a million years.... I'm sorry but my T3 would beat the living crap out of a shutter or a tippman or a pirahna anyday. I went paintballing on Saturday, and one of our guns was having problems so we had to do 2 on 1 matches and everyone wanted a piece of me. I was vs. 2 tippmans and I nailed them to the wall. And of course they wanted a rematch and it was like day-sha-vu, I still kicked there *****es..... And to conclude..... T3s rule!!

 I dont get what you guys have against the M98. Its got good shot grouping, durable, and very easy to upgrade. But then again I can see why you like the T3

I personally have nothing against the 98's. they are nice (one they have a new barrel, and double trigger), but the t3's are great stock. you don't even really need to get another barrel, it's good to go stock, and like I've said, look WAY sexier.

Okay I have had my Shutter for 8 months now and its regulator has not craped out on me!!! It works well too. As for the hose Line I will admit the T3 has a better one. But the Shutter with a stell braided hose line would be about 175$ Which is only $25 bucks more for a good regulator. Also the Shutter is very reliable.

Actually the Piranaha G3 sts is the best deal TerminatorVenom! It is only 125$(around there)!!! It can be taken apart easialy and cleaned, It has an Expansion Chamber which is very good!, Has a double trigger grip frame which I am so envious about:drop: because it's trigger pull is so light and Short! So the Sts
G3 Piranaha is the best deal.

Another thing the Shutter does not have a plastic trigger or grip frame, it is alluminum! The Spyder Shutter just has rubber grips arond it...

I've seen several G3s crap out before. One died twice in a day.

Look term. I think our great friend there maybe had trouble because he bought it from a paintball store... my remote, I bought it there too and it at first had some probs too. I mean for part of a bolt to come cracked??? I think there was some mis handeling there! But I still thing the sts g3 is the best deal!:D

It may be a good deal but that goes to show how fragile they can be.

Well, good point. But mabye it was a manufactured dud, I dont know for around 125 though.... I personally think it is a better deal than the Terminator T3 because it has an expanison chamber also, has very good accuracy (see www.pbstar.com they did not have any reliablility issues while testing. Maybe some very minor ones however.) and is 20-25 dolllars cheaper to me it might also even be a better deal than a Spyder Shutter from what I think. So I dont know how reliable it is exactly, but it is a great buy for the money.

If you bue the inferno and can't find any upgrades all spider upgrades fit!
Mr. Y2K

and also, aren't all spyders still bein put together with plastic, and imperial allen screws? that's two pretty good points right there.
imperal sizes-bad
plastic-real bad on a gun
t3:metal trigger frame, metric stuff=good
hockey guy

good point!
Plastic=broken gun
Metal=full day play, no brakes:)

darn right it is!
cuz hey how much would you be spending on a good (key word: good) metal frame for the spyder?!? I don't know american prices.

i would get a spyder extra, probably the best spyder or a pirahna g3

woah woah woah c'mon people what are you thinking.
if you have the money i suggest getting a piranha pro ts g3
its way better then any spyder its got great accuracy and range and its reliable. and for 300 bucks its a Great deal
Piranha-Worm
03-16-2002, 04:22 PM
I think that the spyder shutter and piranha are tied for best.
they are the best stock compared to many guns even an angel because of its crappy accuracy. I you don't agree the only reason it wouldn't be better than an angel is why?Beacause an angel shoots faster(buy an electronic trigger frame then)?cost more?looks worse?I think that the tippmann and the t3 are also good though I just don't like them as much.

Hey Felixthecat I hate to tell you this but it's the player not the gun that really counts how do we know there not newbies and your just trying to spice up your storie a bit?

lol, Mr Y2K, everything in the USA is imperial... Metric is looked upon as a burden and a half here because you can't find the screws / nuts / parts / tools because everybody has imperial, lol! I wish that the we would catch up with the rest of the world someday.... Metric = so much better

trying to say your shutter is more accurate than an angel and is better. you are so damn funny :D

DUDE shutters suck *** man i know 4 people who have them and 3 of the 4 had threre trigger frame FALL off.
the piranha pro ts g3 is an AWESOME gun!!!!!!
the only reason i dont; have it n e more is because i traded it in and bought a cocker.
as for the whole spyder better than angel hahahahahaha that was the dumbest thing i have ever heard. no offense but i have shot almost every high end spyder and i have shot an angel also
Angel is WAY better it does have better accuracy it has a WAY better rate of fire than any spyder could dream of, it is more reliable(never seen the trigger fram FALL off), and it looks way better also.
but if you cant offord an angel or matrix or a cocker or shocker or impulse or even a MAG than go ahead and get the piranha pro ts, its an awesome gun for the money.

are you guys all on smack?
If I could recomend a first, entry level marker to anyone who asks, I would definatley recomend the model 98!
they are so tight!
slap on a nice AM barrel, and a reactive trigger, you have a gun thats as fast as electros, and still accurate and VERY durrable!
nothing bad will ever happen to that marker!
and trust me! I know what i am talking about.
we have rented out high end piranahs on the field I work at, model 98's and Infernos!
I have owned a spyder when i first started out!
the only one that kept performigh awesome throughout was the model 98's!
it is your best option

As I was saying on another thread:
I have a brand new T3 manufactured in early 2002. I'ts got the double trigger, low pressure chamber, full length foregrip, 45 grip and Harley chrome finish both externally and internally. You definitely need an electric hopper, so I got myself a 12v Java and changed the impeller in it to an aftermarket one for better performance. After trying it out the first time I was glad I had.
As far as I know the T3 can fire up to 10 BPS, and perhaps even more. Isn't 10 BPS what the manufacturers say it can shoot? I'm fairly certain about this actually, but I could ask the guys at Arrrow Precision again.
Yes, it does fire very rapidly and although I haven't yet clocked my T3 it feels much, much faster than any other non-electro blowbacks I've tried or gone up against in the field. It was on even ground with another player's Dye Autococker when I tested my new marker for the first time before playing, by just firing away at the opposite wall (indoors field) as fast as I could for a few seconds. He couldn't out-gun me and he sure tried. No kidding! I've read that Dyes (beautiful gun that one) supposedly have 11-12 bps although even very few pro players manage more than 10 with their trigger fingers.
But, yeah, the T3 held it's own when comparing BPS with a truly high end fast hinge triggered Custom Autococker.
Try doing that with a non-electro Spyder...
If I'd bought something else than my T3 it would have been an Excellerator 4.0 (just like a Spyder Shutter but made in durable all-metal) or a Tippmann Custom 98, because they are also durable and handles very well if you upgrade them with an r-trigger and a flatline.
