25 plus
it is in the faq
about nerve

it really depends on how you setup your gun

I was reading somewhere that to get your true bps you should turn your

eyes off. Just shoot paint and use air, no vision. Correct me if I am wrong

though.

yes teh reflective eye put in shocker and nerves cannot sense paintballs very very fast and cannot keep up with anything about 20ish plus

well the nerve is capped at 24bps. The virtue board can ramp up to 200%, so 200% faster than 24bps, and there you go

that is 48 bps...
the gun can no way cycle even that fast

My shocker can go 35 cps with dropoff
so expect somewhere around sthat

well the nerve is capped at 24bps. The virtue board can ramp up to 200%, so 200% faster than 24bps, and there you go

The 200% ramp on the Virtue board means that the board will *add* twice as many trigger events as there are actual trigger pulls, not that it will double the stock markers maximum rate of fire. In other words, if you are pulling the trigger five times a second, the board doubles this figure (for a total of ten) then adds it to your true rate of fire (5bps) for a total of 15bps. This means that if you could actually pull the trigger 24 times a second (not realistic), then in 200% ramp mode, the board would actually be registering 72 trigger events per second - as equipmentcounts stated, your marker just isn't going to fire that fast. It will try and fire that fast, but the end result will be that the marker will just fire as fast as it can, which will be a considerably lower rate.

The higher your LPR pressure, the faster the marker will cycle (at the risk of damaging your solenoid!), but 72bps, or even 48bps, just isn't realistic. After all, before you can shoot that fast, you need a loader that can feed that fast, and currently, there isn't a loader that can do that.

Increasing the LPR pressure will add speed and momentum to the ram, allowing it to open the valve mroe quickly. However cycle rate can suffer at high LPR pressures due to the short dwell time that is naturally required.
· Increasing dwell time will add more volume of air used to fire the ball, however will greatly reduce efficiency. Higher dwell settings generally require less LPR pressures due to the valve being opened longer.

A shorter dwell time should result in a shorter overall cycle length, which will in turn make it possible to complete more cycles in a second. As such, I cannot see how shorter dwell time is detrimental to cycle rate. However, too low a dwell setting can lead to shoot down, so you can only take the dwell down so far, but that is a slightly different subject. There comes a point where you have to balance dwell, LPR and HPR pressure for best performance, but as long as you don't stray too far from that balance point, or accept some loss of performance in one category or another, then there is some leeway to adjust the markers performance beyond the normal parameters (personally though, I never set my LPR pressure beyond the solenoids maximum rating as some Nerve owners do ;) )

yeah i try to have a somewhat low lpr i don't see why every one wants such a low dwell?? i have the hump noid so i run the dwell at 45 and have my hpr at 205-210, i'm unsure of the lpr, but i see no preformence loss with the higher dwell..

Realistically, if the marker is able to ramp to a consistent 15bps, or to how ever fast you can pull the trigger in semi-auto, the marker's potential cycle rate becomes a moot point anyway (but everyone likes to boast about how fast their marker is!)

I normally prefer to set the marker up for efficiency rather than outright speed, but it is nice sometimes to have a stupidly fast marker just for the bragging rights. ;)
