Hi Folks,
I'm trying to tech my friends b2k4 PDS and I'm a little stumped. My guess is that the 125psi safety valve is defective.
First, the equipment.
B2K4 PDS
Stock valve
Stock LPR
WGP Orracle HPR
Problem:
Battery is fine.
HPR set to 250-300.
LPR starts at 0psi then adjusted up until bolt cocks.
Then turn LPR up another 1/6th of a turn and a leak happens at the solenoid. It is from the solenoid as I've taken the tray off and have actually felt the air coming from the solenoid. Specifically, it's coming from the area in between the manifold and solenoid at the front (barrel side) of the gasket that's between the solenoid and the manifold.
At 1/6th of a turn up from the point where the bolt cocks, is very very low LPR pressure. This will not get me any reasonable velocity.
Solenoid works as it will fire the marker. I can turn up the LPR and the marker will fire, but the leak will increase (obviously).
What I've done:
I've taken the solenoid off the manifold, and I've also taken the manifold off the body. The o-rings and gasket look fine. I've lubed up the o-rings and gasket and have reassembled. I've snugged down the manifold and the solenoid screws so that they're not overtightened. Basically, snugged down enough and to the same point as what I have for my own B2K4.
Still leaks at very low LPR pressures.
I don't think the solenoid is blown as it still works. But, I think the 125psi pressure relief valve is out of adjustment.
Is there a way to fix the pressure relief valve if that is the problem?
Thanks for any advice.

Update: June 13, 2006
Ram cleaned and lubed. The o-ring looks fine.
Original noid gasket replaced with a gasket from a working b2k4.
Still leaks from the same location.
Looks like leak is from within the noid. I don't think it's servicable. Time for a new noid.

Cheers
