Hey everyone,
I'm making a new field with a friend of mine. We have 8 acres of farm land closed in with trees. I want to make it the best as I can so we can open come Sept. I am wondering what things people like to see in fields (your favorite items, bases, bunkers, trenches ect) so I can make the best field around.

I like to see wooden bunkers made from logs and stuff because it looks real nice and proviides alot of cover and it is cheap

you can do these options
A) Buy a 3man Sup' Airball field for 1200
B) Buy a 5man Sup' Airball field for 2500
C) Buy a 7man Sup' Airball field for 3400
D) Buy used Millenium,NXL,PSP,NPPL fields for cheap
i think NIB Millenium,NPPL,etc fields are like in the 5000-7000 range...but check out sup' airball's site i think they got some used tourney field packages for cheap.

ehhh they're not that cheap. used full size official fields (xball, nppl, millenium etc.) will cost at least $6000 or so plus shipping.

barrels are decent, and inexpensive, you should weld them together though so they dont fall apart..
i base a good field on having decent prices on paint, air/co2 fills, nice refs/owners/employees GOOD refs and of course a good field set up.
u should be able to give hpa sills if at all possible, the least you can do is fill co2. a good staging area is a must, make sure to have some sort of tables up for filling pods and whatever they need to do with their markers, you should have netting up separating the staging area from the fields of course. food for sale is definately a plus, if its reasonable its even better. if you want you should have some random parts for sale, such as extra pods, barrel plugs, tools, whatever they might have lost or forgotten. also be sure to get the word out, the first day at our field (no longer open) we had like 60 ppl show up, wouldnt it suck if 3 ppl showed up on the first day? theres alot youll have to do..i doubt if i even covered it all.

Used Xball Field:
6 XBall fields will be available at the PSP/XBall event in South California (August).
Those fields are printed PSP, Empire, DYE, Draxxus, XBall and Smart Parts. All of them includes all the new features and all the new XBall bunkers (such as the redesigned central X, the medium Xs, the new XBall Trees...).
They will be used for 4 days only. As used fields, they are on Sales !!! Save more than $2000 ...
The 2006 used Xball field is $5999 (instead of $8098)
they also got some millenium setups ranging from 5000-6800 euro(dunno how much that converts to).yeah its 6000, but its a full like 42 piece setup and instead of paying for 8000, u save like 2000.

yeah but then again the millenium setups have all those special made bunkers like the M and those combo bunkers they make where its like 2 a standup and wings and all that junk.but still, i think 6000 isnt that bad for an Xball field...but there are still those 3-7man packages which arent that bad.not like you really need all 40+ pieces of an official field.i think the 3man comes with 11 pieces, 5 man comes with 20 and 7man comes with like 25. i was also just looking, looks like sup' air also has rec bunkers for sale instead of like official ones.they might be cheaper so i dunno.

Hey guys thanks for the help but I do have 8 acres so I want to make more than a speed ball course and need some serious help on what kind of more nautural/man made items you like. And if you have any pics of great fields you played that would help too. We wanted to make the course a BYOP field with sales of paint by the 500 for emergencies with CO2 and air fill stations

Make bunkers out of logs and stuff in the woods. me and my buddies made a 2 acre woodsball course with like 20 bunkers made from wood in about 30 min but that was only because i am a good builder but i have to admit it is fun playin woth wood bunkers instead of those expensive air bunkers cheapest best way to play.

Instead of the usual course's random wooden walls sticking out of the ground, one field near me has something I love. An (about 20 foot wide, 8 foot tall) set of wood with windows, etc in it. It really feels well done, but probably took a lot of work to make. You'd have to alter the dirt shape around the area a lot to even be able to make it.
IMO, it's well worth it. Here's a picture of something similar, just smaller:
