So...yeah. I got an A-5 a couple weeks ago. Can anyone recommend any upgrades for me?
So far, I have:
Standard A-5
14' Smart Parts Linear Barrel
I plan on getting:
Standard E-Grip (or something that adds different firing modes---if you know of a better one TELL ME PLEASE)
As of now, I have no specific upgrades I want. I'm fairly low on cash, and probably want something less than 100$ as of now. What do you recommend?
BTW,
I play mainly up-front and flanking positions during woodsball. I play about 60% woodsball, 40% speedball.

You're going to want an egrip with a was board and JCS trigger. Then, I'd grab a QEV for your cyclone; maybe a bolt. Like the one in my sig. :D

Ok, but...what's a WAS board? What's it do, and why is WAS the best?
What's a QEV or a bolt do?

What's a Palmer Stabilizer either?

Wicked Air Sports = WAS
It's a very good board, much better than the Tippmann e-board.
QEV = Quick Evacuation Valve
It allowes your cyclone feed to cycle more quickly.
The bolt moves the ball forward and acts as the passageway from the powertube to the barrel.
The Palmer Stabalizer is a regulator.

The best upgrade around $100 is a W.A.S. board e-grip. I would save up until you have about $120-130. Then you can buy an e-grip and JCS trigger all at once. Your A-5 will turn into a roaring machine. ;)

I know it's rude to do this; but if you really want an egrip with the was board w/ JCS Trigger or anything else in my sig, just ask. I have both of those for sale.

What exactly is the difference from an E-Grip and WAS board?

Nothing. The W.A.S. Equalizer board is the guts of the e-grip. It controls every faction of the e-grip.

Don't waste money on bolts. The stock ones are fine. They are the things that slide forward and push the air forward in the gun. For $100 I'd get the E-grip, JCS Duel trigger, and a QEV.
E-grip - five firing modes -- full auto, semi auto, turbo, reactive, and 3 rnd burst
JCS Duel - allows you two "walk" the trigger with two fingers
QEV (Quick Exaust Valve) - allows excess air to exit increasing your ROF
That will be more like $150 but save up. That barrel is fine for now. You can get the QEV later but you won't be able to shoot over 15 bps.

polish your internals, then do this.
Cut a circle of sticky neoprene (crafts walmart) and put on the rear cap to buffer the hammer recoil.
Put small o-rings or a gasket between your asa and marker to absorb tank ping, or use a remote.
Put an o-ring inside your asa as a spacer it acts like a washer for the tank, keeps it snug and also reduces the surface area of the asa and tank touching thus less marker ping can travel to the tank and echo.
Wrap the bolt guide with teflon tape.
Use heavy white lithium grease in the are behind the powertube it will keep thinks well lubed and absorb sound.
put the stick on foam inside your hopper shells take the shells apart and cut to fit.
this should make you gun pretty quiet.

if you like to shoot fast get a response trigger. the cyclone feed will alow you to shoot up to 15 bps. response triggers run you around 65 bucks... or you could get a trigger crank... iv seen those for about 30 bucks

A non-QEVd Cyclone is good for 16-17 bps, and maybe a bit more if you're lucky. Mine's OK to about 17. A QEV shouldn't come before an e-grip.
