amp paint?

have any of you guys seen or used this stuff? i say it a dick's sporting goods and it said it had dimples like a golf ball kinda to improve accruacy. its a sparkly green ball.

if it's got dimples with a paintball it won't increase any accuracy at all because of the way that air rushes around the ball

but they put 318 dimples on a golf ball because it makes the ball flight straighter. golf balls have been under the microscope for alot longer the a paintball so i would think it could be a good thing.

Have you ever shot paintballs w/ alot of dimples? They don't fly straight:P.

a uniformly dimpled paintball with lots of small dimples (like a golf ball) would probably fly a little further if not straighter.

Golf balls have dimples in them to reduce drag...they originally were smooth but it was discovered and proved that dimples reduce the amount of drag on a sphere as it is flying through the air. This increases the distance it can fly and I suppose it would also decrease the amount a ball moves because of spin due to the decreased drag as well.

i think thats what ill do. i see peoples reviews here and there mixed so ill get a hopper full and see how she goes.

ok so i shoot 500 of these things and they are so so. dont really fly straighter or farther but if you have paint in the barrel it realy makes these this crazy. they where going in kinda a helix coilk path way cool to watch but not so good for splaterizing a person so i dont think il ever get again.
