View Full Version : Guillie Suit
I was wondering how I could make a guillie suit for my Tippmann 98? Also could you tell me the price range it would be in so I can think about it. Also don't forget to tell me if you can buy a guillie suit for your gun cheaper then you can make it, if there is such a thing.
Thanks.
Ive never heard a ghillie siut for a gun. Just paint your gun in camo. Good enough. Besides other players are looking for you, not your gun.
I play mostly speedball and some woods games and my gun is gonna stick out when I get my paint job done:P
And it is a pain to tape and remove the tape after playing the woods games. You know camo tape.

Get some green and black cloth and cut and paste and see what comes out. It might be a good gullie gun suit.

As a ghillie guy myself, let me tell you this:
Use burlap! Cut a strip of burlap and wrap your hopper, barrel, and front part of your gun. If you have individual threads, attach that as well to give it a "grass type of look". I'll get mine wrapped up and post a pic...
There IS another thread of ghillie suits. Can a mod transfer this to the ghillie thread already started?
Okay burlap it is. I'll start over the weekend cause I have tons of burlap!

i've seen this before: a thick piece of elastic (it was kinda rubbery so it stuck to the gun better and black) then a buncha dyed burlap pieces were tied to it. then you just wrap it on the gun, tie it off, and u're good to go.

It would probably be a good idea to make it so you coud detach it from gun at will. Use a piece of net or cloth to attach the burlap to then all you have to do is attach said net to gun. The best thing to do is to get your burlap cut in a large flat piece and get some brown and green spray paint and do a camo type pattern to it then cut it into strips of varying length.

use jute tread, and vary your color and thickness, it takes a little longer with jute, but it lasts so much longer than burlap. You can get like a hundred foot roll for like 89 cents.
