Saw this on PBN, figured I'd post it here.
From p8ntballer.com's rumor mill on Friday:
--------------------------------------------------------------
OK then, let's get down to it boppers...
Where better to start than with Arsenal...New owner, new gun and new players coming in. Former New England Hurricanes Son, Bobby and Billy are all gone, possibly soon to be followed by Thomas Mantoni. More weirdly, Beau Marksohn has also been cut. As anyone who has watched the team play this season will tell you, Beau and JC have been in awesome form, so this was kind of a weird one from where we're sitting (which is in a lapdance club, but that's by the by). Where will Beau end up? Well, Dynasty, Dogs, Russian Legion and the Hurricanes have all been mentioned in dispatches, but I wonder whether young Mr Lang may have a word with Dave Youngblood, as we think Beau would be a great fit with the rebuilding Ironmen.
And who's coming in? Well, rumor mill has mentioned that a few of the XSV guys are unhappy and one source suggested that Dave Baines and Glenn Takemoto may be wearing Arsenal jerseys soon, but the more likely deal is that four or five guys from Arsenal A-Team will be bumped up, with players from Infamy taking up the A-Team spots. Again, this is a weird one - why break up a team that is almost a lock for a promotion spot? Whatever happens, we'll know about it soon as it's nearly roster-lock time. Check out PGi #208 for a hard hitting interview with JC and Beau...
What else? Oh yeah, the Smart Parts/Braun spin-off league has managed to do what nothing else could - push the NPPL and PSP back into bed with each other. No-one is saying anything official yet, but we're hearing it's pretty much a done deal and that there will be a 24-team Pro league next season featuring the 18 (after promotion and relegation as per usual) plus any missing NXL squads.
Look for WDP's Angel One to finally land in Chicago...will Infamous be shooting it? Rumor mill says maybe. Coming in at $800, it'll face stuff competition from the new Etek, but we think WDP is going to go all out to reclaim the top end gun market, so confident are they in The One. Will Nexus have a new American player to keep Tony Perez company next time out? Why yes, they will, thanks for asking...
Back to the NXL and Rob Staudinger will no longer be hitting the field with Trauma due to other commitments, Legacy will break its losing streak thanks to the influx of Bobby and his Assassins. The 'new' Assassins, AKA Infamous, currently has a roster of seven...ouch.
