On the nights before I play, I have sex with my wife. Unfortunately, she usually wakes up and beats the ever-living CRAP outta me.
(I couldn't resist!)

I can help with where to oil your Spyder. I'll assume you haven't taken it apart before. The first thing you need to do is remove the quick-strip pin very carefully because if you don't hold on to it little bits of spyder will fly all over the place. Pull out the velocity adjuster, spring, spring guide, and be careful not to lose the little metal plate inside the velocity adjuster. Now pull out the bolt, and the striker will come with it. Those two parts are important to oil. You'll have to take the grip of your gun off to get those parts back in, because otherwise the trigger mechanism will get in the way. Once you've put it back together, disconnect the air hose at the point where it comes out of the regulator. Put a few drops of oil in there, then reconnect it. Hold your gun so that the oil won't flow back into the regulator. Take off your barrel so it doesn't get oil sprayed through it. Then attach your power source and dry-fire a few times. That should have your gun working about as smooth as it's going to get. You can put a little oil in the trigger mechanism if you feel like it, but it won't make much of a difference.
Another thing that may help you is putting some sealant/lubricant on your barrel, air, and hose connections. I use "T Plus 2", which works quite well. That'll prevent your Shutter from losing any air in places where it shouldn't. Since it's also a lubricant, it may even help you keep from stripping threads when you're taking things apart and putting them back together.

Heh, puting 3 drops in the air adapter always worked for me.
Stretch and get some sleep, put all your gear in your gear bag.

strecthing is a very important thing for me, i usually spend like the 3 days before i play stretching and keeping limber . . . if i dont stretch enough i will be sore for like a week after i play and i can't play as well. when im well stretched i can run faster, get into bunkers better and more comfortably and snap shoot better. . . make sure your gun is runnig nicely, get your gear together (rags and a water bottle are good to have too), then TRY to get some sleep, hehe.

The NIGHT before? I recomend relaxation and sleep, defeninatly sleep. :D
The day of, but prior to the first game? Streching, some light calistenics. It wouldn't hurt to do the stretching between games ether, as well as after the last game.

Personaly I take a trip to the local Indoor field and fire off about 50 rounds through my gun to make sure everything is good..
Then I pack everything up, put it by the door.
Once I have everything together i do about 100 situps... about 30 or 40 "squats", and then I take the elevator to the lobby, and run up the 16 flights to my appartment =o)
I relax for a bit, cook myself a buttload of pasta or postatoes.. and head off to bed.
The next morning I gather my gear, take the 12 flights down to my car, and head to the field (Yes my car is on the 4th floor for you math people =o)
I usualy grab myself 3 or 4 peices of french toast on my way out with my friend and im set for a great day of paintball!

I believe the most important part of preparing for a game is getting mentally prepped. Stretching and chow with carbs help, but if I can't focus on the game, I don't do half as well as I ought to be able to do. Stretching and warming up is an especially good time to do this type of preparation, as is the night before. The night before, go through in your mind and, from start to finish, create a mental "filmstrip" of the game(s). Picture yourself doing bunker slides and maneuvers with absolute ease, skill, and perfection. Do this while you stretch too. Don't get overwhelmed on PERFECT performance in your and perhaps your team mates gameplay, you never want to take the fun and personal love for the sport away. It's a whole lot easier to perform at your best when your having fun while your doing it. Not to mention, visualizing yourself doing something perfectly and actually physically going out and doing it perfectly are two completely different things. Go over the maneuvers with your team mates if its for a tournament. Just knowing there's a game the next day is all that I need to get me stokked and ready to go. Even while your at the field getting ready. Check out the field and plan out what your going to do and how your going to do it. Then, visualize yourself doing it flawlessly. I'm not saying that it will go flawlessly when it gets to game time, but it helps build confidence and what not. :blah:
