Ive been researching electros since i am buying one and Ive found that the bushmasters are all around best. Its the most upgradable electro and inexpensive. Low pressure make it quiter and gives it less kick. The chaos upgrades give it 6 modes of fire/intellifeed/anti chop eye/20 balls a second/lcd that controls modes of fire, dwell and all that stuff with buttons rather than dips, timer with buzzer, number of shots, average rof, highest rof.
That sounds like an angel some might say. Well it sound like an angel with the anti chop eyeand intellifeed added as well as a new chip except it costs under $1000 before shipping. Not to mention you get lower pressure which means less kick and quiter operation as stated before. If you do all this you still have lots of room to get a bunch of upgrades and you can get your op well under 200psi.
The timmy is also nice and inexpensive but there are a lack of upgrades, which i like to add:), and some things you cant even upgrade because of how they made it. I also dont like the way it looks and it might just be me but when i look at it, the barrel starts so far from the body it looks like it adds alot to the overall legnth.
I think that the impulses are showing that they can be a good competitor also. They now have the anti chop eye but that puts them very close to the price range of a timmy without having any of the cool stuff.
As for some other new guns like the excalibur and matrix-The matrix looks cool but I hear probs of consistancy and being a gas hog but i like how it doesnt have a sear and hammer or whatever it is. I was going to get an excalibur for awhile but priced around an angel made me look elsewhere to get more for my money. As for th emag, it has cool features but it still didnt justify the price tag when compred to what i can get with the same money with a bushmaster.
My concusion is angels have always been overated and more of a giffen good than paying for the best. Perhaps the timmy will get some cool upgrades and a major changover(my opinion of course) which I think will happen giving it a bright future. But for now I ive it to the bushee. Things may change with so much electro cocker stuff coming out
I may have gone a little long but I just wanted to sum up my findings in the search for the best electro. Feel free to disagree out loud, it makes me think everything over to make sure i belive what i say:)

IMHO I think the timmy is the best. One reason it may not have many upgrades is because the stock gun is great. It takes some getting used to with the grips. As for the look of it? Hmmm. I think it is sweet! What about the standard ano job? w/matching barrel! The timmy also comes with bob long tech support! Can't beat that. As for the bushy I wouldn't know. Never shot the bushy and to me the timmy has a great look to it not the normal block form you see with most electro guns IE shocker, impluse, excalabur, defiants, angels(though just a little) and the bushy. As for price I would have to say the bushy compaired to timmys and timmys over the angel in pricing. But since I have about 1k in my pocket(im a caddy) and I'm 15 I like the timmy. plus u can listen to that south park song while playing with your timmmmmmmmmmaaaahhhhh!

The stock parts can always be improved upon. All stock parts on most guns work good but there are others that are better. You can get a bushmaster lcd with an anti chop eye for $100 less. You also have lower pressure which equals less kick and less noise. You still have tons of room to upgrade the bushee but not much to do on the timee. The intimidator is a great gun, i just feel that you can do alot more with the bushmaster.
What kind of bolt does the intimidator have?i Thought i heard somewhere that its a metal olt but i cant remember.

Isn't there an anti-chop eye on the timmy? Well they bushee maybe more upgrade-able but how much will all that cost?
I dont remember how loud the timmy is. I personally dont care really how loud the gun is. And the timmy is somewhat new, how fast do you think people pop out with upgrades? Maybe the timmy doesnt have any needed. But I am saying this without having shot the bushee at all. Heck bob long hasnt even widely distributed rubber grips yet.

I think this site should have videos of a lot of popular markers being shot.

Actually, after LP mod it's one of the quieter guns I know of. The loudest sound being the bolt pin ratttling as the bolt moves back and forth. Comes stock with a metal bolt, but delrin bolts are already available. Mountainpaintball makes alot of custom timmy stuff, like bolts and can customize your gun with regs and whatnot, and I see more good stuff coming from them in the future

I know that the intimidator has an anti chop eye. I was giving the price with the anichop eye because that would give the intimidator and bushmaster the same features making it easy to compare prices.
As i said before you can get a bushmaster lcd with an anti chop eye for $100 less than the timmy. You get what the intimidator has for less so it would cost less to upgrade a bushy up to timmy specs. You can use that $100 to get an intellfeed or a better ship and your gun would have more goodies than the timmy for less money. Also-Im pretty sure it was the timmy that cant upgrade the board because its attached to something I forget the details. This means if you want more features on a baord or you need a semi only board to play in a tourney it will be very hard to get it changed. I doubt many people would want to deal with making a better chip(maybe someone has though i dont know).

I thought the metal bolt would giv it some kick, I wasnt sure if anyone came out with a delrin bolt or a plastic bolt yet-that reduces the kick alot.
Does anyone know a good site that has some good intimidator info i can read?

july, i hope u know when i asked about the anti-chop eye i asnt meaning to sound sarcastic. Sure you can get the bushy up to timmy spec but do u find the tech support or bob long? Plus IMHO i like how the timmy looks over the other electro guns out there with their "block-ish" shape ie defiants,bushy,impluse,shocker,tribals and somewhat with the angel.

I say Matrix too. Ive seen the movie and read many posts about them. I think they are great. Hmmm, I have $680. Should i get the Matrix and run it off co2, then save up for nitro. Or should I get nitro and save up a little bit more to get the Matrix

to test my matrix on co2 i used a 20 oz anti-siphon tank. I got around 1100 shots on it so thats pretty phat. I would get the matrix and get an anit siphon co2, but try not to play in the cold, cause even with antisiphon it can screw up. also I dont know that much about the reg running on co2. i mena mine worked fine, i didnt have to change anything to shoot co2 or to go back to nitrogen

Yah, go compressed with that Matrix. Regardless of what Diablo says I don't think the Matrix runs well on CO2. Plus I've seen Matrixes frost up when they're run on CO2; makes you wonder what's happening to the chip, solenoids etc.

Was in yer predicament for a while. I was just about to buy a Matrix, but only had enough for the gun. No nitro :(
Was gonna go with it anyways and then save for the tank but got impatient and bought a bushmaster with nitro for quite a bit less than how much it'd cost me for the Matrix and nitro. Then again perhaps I got a deal.

imo - any electro that doesn't break down... easy to do maintenance - its more like prevemptive maintenance than anything else... good tech support (most high end guns have this... i have an angel, and cobra paintball is like not to far away from me...) not to biased here... but any electro, that meets your style of play and preferences...

I would have to say the Timmy too. It is the best now IMHO. Better than angel cause of the Anti-Chop Eye and Bob Long. Some say the Angel has better firing modes but hey you don't need em all. Look at the price and everything you get. Hey Impy's with ACE(antichop eye) are more than Timmy's. Sure they can run off of CO2 but you should use nitro with such a nice gun.

Check out PBnation.com they have Rocker Mod kits for sale that make cockers electro without the box. They can do the install for you for 850 with full electro. Kinda cheaper.
