Before I go HPA on my tippmann, I want to know, could I just stick my tank on the gun or would I have to buy a low pressure kit or somthing?

As long as it's a high pressure tank, you are good to go with using it on a tippy right out of the box.

HPA stands for high pressure air, so it wouldnt make any sense to put a low pressure kit on you gun.

As long as the tank is a fixed, or adjustable to high pressure output than all you will have to do is screw it on and shoot.

no all u need is a screw in tank. the high pressure ones work fine about 850 psi is great. the efficiency difference with Co2 and HPA isnt as big as a difference if u go to www.directpaintball.com (http://www.directpaintball.com) there is a well detailed chart on the drops in pressure and all that stuff. but mostly its the same. crossfire is great. if u bought a low pressure kit obviously u would need a low pressure tank with it too.

You can use HP tanks with a LPK. You just regulate the pressure down. HP works best with LP because you are less likely to suffer shoot-down because a HP puts out 850PSI while a LP puts out 450 (I think). If its taking low pressure to fire a paintball and you have a higher pressure supply of air your less likely to suffer shoot down.

Only if you were looking for top-notch performance would you want to go LP on a tippmann, or any other blowback marker for that matter. It saves air and reduces recoil.

With HPA, or LPA, just screw the tank in and go.
