This isn't some hazing thing or anything just some common mistakes i see newbies do that can be used against them.
-Long Balling, I'm not talking about the long balling where you actually have a chance of hitting your target but the kind that you can catch on their fourth bounce towards you. Simply standing out in the open jumping up and down can get a newbie to unload his hopper on you with his rental gun until oops no more ammo.
-Tunnel Vision, This is the best when a newbie gets so focused on one of your teamates that he doesn't even see you creeping up until splat. It works even better when you coordinate it with the other teamate who provides a target for the newbie to focus on by taunting jumping up and down etc.
-Staying in one place, or not playing aggresively. Usually you don't even encounter them because they're in the back and completely oblivious to the fact their flags been pulled. Simply puting enough paint on their bunker to make them run usually does the trick.
-False retreat, this one usually nabs more than the occasional newbie. The prospect of seeing three or four opponents running for their lives from big bad terrible you sends a lot of players into the run them down and crush them mode, except they never thought about the ambush they just ran into.
That's everything I can think that i've done to further the on field education of newbies, if anyone has some other tricks i'd love to hear them.

How about instead of posting tricks to do to newbies, post tips on how to make them better. You were a newbie at one time too.
Help them out and teach them. That way they will like paintball much more.

That "false retreat" thing is not always best. If you start running I am NOT going to chase you back into your team's defense positions.

Hey seriously,
Grow up dude i mean its great that you can get a kill on a newbie, but if your playin rec ball play to help them. Mabey you could pop out of the top of a bunker or make an uncover break to a differant bunker. If they shoot you, oh well you just gave them confidence in there abilities. And heck after the game talk to the guy in the lobby area and tell him some of the tricks that you use to take people like him out. He might be on your team next game.

Maybe I should give you some tips so you can get out of the newbie stage because frankly you aint livin up to my standards if you think about tricks on newbies. I rather lead them into the heat of battle and get them up front with me and they have a blast. I started with an SL-68II and it was fun and I got people out. So here I am today busting out Tribals and Autocockers and having a blast playing in tournaments, rec, and promoting the sport. I know you didn't really mean what we are all raging on you for so we should stop. Peace out dude and see you at the 50' hey hey I like that venom.

Sorry i didn't mean to offend i came off wrong in the post, basicaly what i want to get at from my own newbie experiences is that telling and actually doing or two different things. It's one thing to read and another to experience it first hand.

Well, I personally like to show off the big bloody wel I get from being bunkered (cuz I suck) and tell them "It doesn't hurt that bad." No, kidding, ONLY kidding. Actually, I think the best trick you can do toa newbie is show him how to bunker some pro player who isn't expecting it from a newbie. I bunkered a guy with my Stingray II and 16" barrel the first time I ever got on a field, because he didn't think I would pull something like that. Granted, his back man lit me up, but it was a little too late for him.
If you ever try that BS on me or any newbie on my team, I'll tie you to a tree and let them unload on you!
Your just saying sorry because you don't like guys ganging up on you. I'll stop if you beg me to.:D

There is only 1 newbie i pick on. Thats my little brother. I mean on the day of the game i give him tips ,but right before the game i intimidate him a lot. I hope some of u understand
Its your bro, not a big deal. You probably do it out of love, As long as you don't lite him up. Then you would be a bully.

jeez man thats harsh stuff...i dont see how all these people say "I hate noobies..lite em' up" when they were newbies maybe 4 months ago and daddy got rich and all of a sudden they got a cocker' in their grimy paws...just remember we were all newbies at one time or another...;)

I agree... we shouldn't purposely take advantage of newbies, especially when they could be the next national champs lighting us up!
IN a sense this is just helping newbies because any newbie who reads this will learn not to do any of this stuff. And if you pull this on a newbie in most cases it is no big deal because the person will learn from there mistake and better themselves. Now dont get me wrong i'm not saying all newbies should be hated just pointing out this thread is helpful to newbies. Thx super3 for helping newbies even if you teach them the hard way.
Lastly if a newbie quits because of this he should not of played paintball in the first place.

HELPING NEWBIES? wtf are you smoking? we are the ones saying paintball is an awesome sport when we turn around and tell newbies that were gonna lite them up at 350 FPS! your f*cked up man...i dont see how this thread helps newbies the only way i see it is that it would scare them off and not want them to play the great sport of paintball...
its not even wtf are you smoking. I know what your smokin from your typing, My question is How much are you smoking? He just listed the most common mistakes that newbs do and how to take advantage of them. When newbs read this then they'll keep in mind not to do it. Its not rocket science.

yeah this thread could help newbs out because they now know not to do that.
*to the newbs reading this*
when behind a bunker make sure you are all the way behind it and dont have you foot or something out. I see many newbs and advanced players(no offence, It can be by accedent) with a foot or a hand or top of head sticking out of a bunker and people will pick it off when they see it.
