DART Bolt or Nexus Bolt...then if you want get some Star parts like the frame, reg, etc.but really the EGO is good right out of the box.

They are sometimes of better quality, mostly the same with a different look, and the Planet Eclipse logo.

But really, it's great stock. Just play with it for a few weeks, and see what you don't like. Figure out what you would like to change, and we will take it from there.

I agree. Get the star frame if you want it, but for an 06 Ego, it's not neccesary as the board is the same. If you had an 05 Ego, then the Star frame would be more of a performance upgrade rather than preference.

yeah...i havent bought anything to upgrade my ego lol.i think the nexus is the only real PL worth paying for lol.only thing i plan on buying is that stupid 15* FRM.

but some of the nexus's like the g4h still use the old inset button console like the 05's did. i perfer the rebber button console myself...

i was thinking of getting a nexus too, a light trooper. then i'd buy a ccu kit, get it custom annoed red, and have it look like the 'DirtyBirdy' ego i poster above. but my parents would kill me if i ever spent that much money on paintball, so i guess i'll stick with the blue rgo with the near-white CCU and then i'll throw in a nexus bolt and if i really wanted to and had the money, i'd tadao it.

star frame comes with star trigger.i really don't find the need for a new board as the ego boards stock are good.i think they're at 2.00(nexus at 2.04).but you u lose the LCD when u get a new board.but if you play in different tourneys with different rulings, its a good buy.i find no need for a new barrel as the shaft is great.its practically like a UL just not the light part lol.

I'd suggest the Vlocity if you're looking for the features offered by a Halo B with Victory. The Halo B with Victory has comparable performance to the Vlocity, but you'll save money by just getting the Vlocity.

all are good hoppers...but i prefer the reloader b over halo b because the reloader b is sound activated so it wont have any problems with not seeing paint.it comes stock with a rip drive.i choose the reloader b over the VLocity because the VL is a little tall and looks ugly.and imo, doesnt balance hte weight as well as the reloader b/halo b type shells.

my 06 ego came with a 2.04 board......the only thing i would even consider getting for my gun is probably just a new bolt and delrin pin. Everything else is great on my gun.

so you're contradicting your advice? you say get a delrin pin, then DB said they don't do anything, so you say i never said they did...so you're saying they don't do anything.why advise something if its not gonna work.

A Nexus bolt with a delrin pin will have better efficiency than any other bolt for the Ego.

Now how much more efficient would it be? Probably only a tiny fraction.

I don't see any reason to worry about efficiency. I would get a delrin pin just to reduce kick and look better. Therefore money spent on an aftermerket bolt for an Ego is a complete waste of money.

What should someone get for an 06 Ego? I have a few answers and thoughts.

Nothing! Or close to it. What more could you need for an Ego? They are the closest to perfection out of the box you can get in the marker market. You guys have been buying into the hype and lies long enough. The only things I would suggest changing on an Ego are the board( for the switch), barrel( to suit your preference) and trigger style. Thats about it.

All these "Preformance" upgrades you see online are going to fool with your gun's preformance sooner or later. I'm a firm believer that lower pressure, reducing kick and noise is all BS. Take the lucky valve, I've heard of more problems with that thing than anything else. Is the cost worth the possible gain? You aren't given anything, just a possibilty of those gains. Rams fall under the same category. If Eclipse thought making these upgrades would be fruitfull, you'd most likely see them. The Ego runs the way it does due to the fact that the stock parts are so great. DM's are the biggest culprits in the "preformance upgrade market" everyone is searching for that "ultimate" efficency bolt, they screw around with things, and the marker breaks down or gives them trouble.

Bolts are a waste of money, as well as bolt pins. Bolt pins can break and do, they also don't do anything. My Ego came with one(used)m I would have rather had the stock pin due to breaking issues they have. Bolts themselves aren't going to make your gun shoot any better. Whether they help with fragile paint is subjective, you'll have 1 person say yes and 3 say no. How much is a nexus bolt? 60 bux. What a waste, 60, down the drain, for no reason at all. Go buy some new lenses, pads, paint or something else.

* Tadao Board or another with a switch( if you like it)
* Trigger- A good trigger is going to help you more than anything, it can make a bps difference.
* Barrel of choice
* Grips of choice

Why do I think all of this? Because I've been around the block a few times. I've bought into hypes before, all they do is cheat you in the end. That being said, I will say that there are some upgrades worth the money that don't increase preformance that much. Like Tadao. I love Tadao, but its not needed. AKA Regs aren't needed, but they too are awesome. Aside from when I'm building my own marker, I use stock internals in my guns. I hope this has shed some light.

That's why Ions are so fun. But personally, I don't buy a gun to **** with it, I buy it to shoot people. I think upgrades in general are a WOM unless absolutely necessary.

From your sig i guess your gun came wise , anyway Its hard to imagine PE would spend more on an SS bolt than a cheaper delrin style pin . if the metal pin wasnt better for the gun .


These guns come upgraded is what alot of people forget you arent buying a 200 dollar ion that could use improvement , everything that you add ( as of right now better equipment could come out later on in the year ) is basically more of a preference than performance .

If you want a new reg -because the stock one doesn't look great- an Evolve PI reg will help performance. There is also the Star reg as seen on XSV Egos, Nexus Egos, Dark Egos, etc...
