Ok my friend has a WAS'ed impulse with the tapeworm upgrade and a new trigger. He is having a problem with his bottomline maxflo. When the tank is screwed in it leaks around where the tank screws in. At first we thought it was just his oring so we tried three different orings and none of them worked. I believe that something is wrong with the threads on the maxflo. They seem to be cutting the oring on the tank. When it is screwed in. Do you guys have any suggestions on what we should do. My friend would rather not buy a whole new maxflo. Would it be possible to just replace that part that has the threads on it not the actual regulator part.

is it leaking after you screw it in, or while you're starting to screw it in, before you've turned it in all the way. Bottomline maxflows are defective, the pin in the ASA is much longer than it should be. You can put an o-ring in the ASA itself, and/or cut down the pin, so it's shorter with a dremel.

It leaks while I screw it in and after its screwed in. Something in the asa cuts the oring when its screwed in. I tried putting an oring in the asa and there was still a problem. This problem just started happening recently before we never had a problem.

Is it leaking around the tank threads, or somewhere else on the reg?

replace the tank oring and put some lube on it. Even if it doesn't look damaged.

I have tried that but something in the threads seems to be cutting the ring when its screwed in. I cant see anything and I have tried cleaning the threads many times. Is it possible just to rplace the threaded part and not the actual regulator.
