I'm a ghillie suit guy myself.

And when I'm not wearing that, just a pair of Mossy Oak coveralls. Or, starting today when I'm playing indoor/speedball, my CPPA Jersey. (Christian Paintball Players Association.)

personaly I think effective camo is one of the best things to have In woodsball.. I find the german Flectarn Camo is awsome in the spring, ive actualy had people step on me before..

I have also never seen a guillies suit that didnt stand out or that i couldnt sport on the field.. im sure there are lost of good ones, but I persoanly have had no trouble yet shooting anyone with them =o)

I wear British DPM's (Disruptive Pattern Material). Very handy, the jacket is pretty big and heavy material so it covers my, ahem, boys. Took a direct hit without noticing, well it wasn't a *direct* hit, but it was close enough.

A jeresey, but then I don't really try and blend in with anything on a speedball field ;)

I played against this one guy who had a ghillie suit. He was easy enough to spot, but the stupid ghillie suit was so soft that no ball would break on it. He would take hit after hit. The only way to kill him was a mask shot, or gun shot.

Never underestimate the power of the ghillie suit. I have been stepped on by my own team mates, while I was talking to them!

*nods and agrees with Torf* Never underestimate a ghillie, especially if the guy has stuffed vegetation into his suit, like you can on mine.

I think i will need to play with yout to see it =o) I have yet to see a good suit.. not that im saying there arnt any, i just personaly havent seen one..

The last guy that did have one though was bouncing balls and i couldnt quite get him.. so i turned my gun up from 260 (my normal fps) to 330 (my max) and gave him a good shot in the ***.. that seemed to be enough to get him out and walk off the field sore.. I then turned it down of course =o)

The mark of a good ghillie suit is that you don't see it. ;)

Telnets, why the flectarn in the spring? It seems like the orange would stand out. I can understand the autumn, but spring?
And where do you buy those?

Wintermute:

Actualy the german flectarn is not that bright as the sample up there, I dont know why but in most pictures of it it seems like its glowing =o)

Here is a better pic of it, its my hat. The redish orange is actualy a great color to blend where I am, because we have a lot of pine trees, and in the spring they shed a bunch of winter needles, and they turn the same redish color.. thats why its a good spring color for my area.

dam im lovin ur camo peon...

i personally have a JT Proteus (getting woods camo goggle snin)

a home made guillie suit... its a camo net, then another one over it that is cut to shreads, and has other pieces of stuff on it, i haven't tried it out yet but my brother has used it in it's early stages and it is great. actually its more like a guille cape because it just drapes over ur back and is secured around neck and layed over u when ur lying down (i'm definately going to work on other holding systems though.)
i'm currently making a pair of nice fleese-ish pants in sewing class, that should be pretty cool...
here's my tip for woods paintball play... wear dark clothes, hope the other guy's mask is fogged, and wait till u have a sure shot then unload hel.
by the way... how much is that CADPAT, and where can i get it... (email me at jtramodude@myownemail.com)

Yup thats me in the pic.. could use a smile but hey what can you do =o)

As for where to get the camo.. Its slowly JUST being issued to canadian troops.. so you just have to have a connection thats fairly high up in the military. I happen to know the guy whos literly stocking the uniforms in the wearhouses so he snuck me a pair for a small fee. Unfortunatly I cant get them all the time to be able to put some up for sale.

However he said it will be about 3 years before we see it in surplus stores =o(
