Yo,

I have a question for anyone who is knows there fair share about the two types of tanks (nirto and co2)

A friend of mine told me that nirto is the non liquid form of CO2

He said all it is, is the gas version rather then liquid. Im having a hard time believing this.

last time i checked nitrogen is a total different thing then CO2.

Not making sense to me. SOmeone please respond i would vbe happy. thanks

Yep, nitrogen is a totally different thing. Co2 turns into a gas and keeps its properties when you fire it. Co2 is comprised of a carbon atom(C) and two oxygen atoms(O2). Nitorgen is.....well..Nitrogen (N).
Nitrogen's advantages are that it is not temperature sensitive (because it remains in gaseous form) and is a very stable gas (more consitency=better accuracy). However, nitrogen is pressurized gas, meaning you have to have a fairly sturdy (and large) tank to hold it. The plus side is the fiber tnaks are lighter than Co2 tnaks, just bigger. The only real advantage to Co2 is that it's cheap to buy a bottle (Nitro is cheaper to fill), and that a small bottle can hold a lot.
BTW, Nitrogen and HPA (High pressure air) are the same thing.

I think HPA is better. Cause it shoots better and is not weather sensitive.

Yo thanks...

I just really wanted to prove the nitro is not more compressed co2...i have a flatline 3000 psi tank anyway,

thanks alot dude

heres the deal...

Nitro or N2 is a totaly different Element on earth, Its a "Ineart" gas which means it does not change very much, if at all, through various climates we have, by that I mean hot, cold, rain shine; you get the idea.

Carbon Dioxide or CO2 is Not like N2 at all, Its a very "eratic" gas which means it does change in various climates. Thats why in colder weather you shoot "snow" or you sometimes get liquid in your barrel. This is why expantion chambers exist, to get heat to the liquid coming out of your tank before its hits the ball. or in the case of close bolts, before it gets to the valve. But thats another story.

The reason N2 is better than CO2 is because its 'Ineart" and it shoots better because it hits the ball evenly unlike CO2 can sometimes. CO2 may sink causing your balls to curve big time or you get liquid. its all about heat.

CO2 expands in heat, and you get more shots. CO2 is a much more energetic gas. That's why you need much more nitrogen to equal CO2.

What does that have to do with my post?
