Hey all. I am having a Real hard time deciding if I should buy a Tippman a5 without any upgrades, or a BT Assault /w the m16 barrel and a stock.
I have been to alot of websites reading reviews and such. I only have $350.00 CND and so I was kinda thinking of going with the BT Assault because it comes with a few ups. I would like To hear your thoughs so please post any ideas you have because I am Buying 1 or they other in 2 days Thx.

A-5, or the BT only without all of the mil sim crap on it. Mil sim kit is fun and all, but it also adds dollars on to the price tag and weight and bulk to the marker. That and I know a lot of folks who invested in stocks and fore-ends and stuff that looked really cool, but that they ended up hating in the end.

A5. With that much cash (not sure how much the Canadian doller is worth), you could get an Egrip and a nice barrel. Like Paulie said, the mil-sim just destroys the gun, not improve it.

You can get a A-5 for 220$ (dollar is the same right now) with no ups on it. You could get a new barrel (ceramic, lapco, linear etc) and a cheap HPA tank OR instead of a cheap HPA tank (already assuming you have a co2 tank) you could get a r/t.

The BT4-A's can be had for about $200. If you dont want the misim stuff, sell it and make a killing! Besides, the BT4 is lighter, and built for speed, and has a servicable valve.

BT4's are still and probobly always be a better value. BT-4 Assault and up also have better stock barrels.

In my opinion i think tippmann's are better than BTs becasue they have been around longer and know what they are doing. Also BT basically copied Tippmann on internals. But A-5 gets my vote.

Ben was with dennis for quite a while, that's exactly why the BT internals are almost identical. What most people don't realize is that Ben improved the internal design. The BT4, for example, has 98c guts, a A5 trigger frame and barrel adaptor, and a removable grip.
Ben was the man behind the A5. So either way you go, you're, in reality, still getting a BT.

I bought my factory sealed a-5 /w flatline and w.a.s. egrip for $350 shipped. I would reccomend getting it without the flatline tho, right now i see one for $255 shipped (silver a5 /w w.a.s. egrip) on ebay from the same person i bought mine from. It might cost you a little more though to ship to canada.

definately an a-5, you can upgrade it later when you have more money if you want and plus 350 is plenty for an a-5 and a decent barrel. a-5 all the way! you just cant beat that cyclone feed
