I have to do an English project...I am doing it on paintball!!muhahha

My English teacher has assigned us a project that is an informative speech and we got to pick our own topics and picked paintball! I have to talk for 4-6 minutes on it. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas? I have to talk about paintball the sport in general.:DThis should be pretty fun I think. I was thinking of showing some equipment and talking about, safety stuff, types of games, the history of paintball, where you can play, how the gun works, what the gun runs off of, types of guns. Thats all I have thought of right now...Anyone have any other suggestions? I am up for anything. I want to make sure I can talk for atleast 4 minutes. Thanx!

i would suggest talking about "The image of paintball"

you can talk about how it's being refined into a team sport, like soccer, baseball, basketball, etc.

talk about the magazines, the writers, and the players who want to transform the games image to a sport, rather than a military simulation.

and most importantly, talk about the saftey of the game. give stats, that show that paintball is one of the safest possible things. "not because it's necessarily the safest acitivity, but because people are encouraged/forced to wear protective gear"

talk about the competative side of paintball... like what the big tournaments are like, then show some of the big guns, talk about saftey etc.. maby some history.. shouldnt be a very hard project at all :) I sure wish we got to pick our topics

I like the idea of the image of paintball...I'll try to incorporate that in the speech. Its a good idea becuase everyone is so stereotypical about us Paintball Players. And yes I will make sure I don't say "gun". hehe
