Ok, here is my delema. I have an 05 Spyder Imagine Digital LED(the black one). It has many ups and I really have come to like what I have in it. I have used a cheapo 16" barrel for the longest time, but I want something that will group my shots better and has great accuracy at medium range. So I guess I want a barrel kit. Well I hear tons of people say, "hey don't get a kit if you have a low end marker. Save up and buy a high end marker." You know the normal crap that you see posted about. I think to an extent it is true, but I really love the spyder even though it's considered low end. I've got $80 and I want a barrel kit. For the gun I have what do you recommend. Also, instead of just saying get a better gun, if you have a valid reason then let me know. Is a spyder going to work crappy with a barrel kit or not. I haven't heard anything saying this or not.

If you plan on using the Spyder as a primary for a long time then a kit is for you, at least that is what you plan on doing it.
I say Evil Pipe.
If you look around there are alot of threads comparing the EDge and Pipe kit;)

Spyder will work fine with a barrel kit. I use a Empire 7 piece on my spyder and it works good (if you look around and can find the old ones not the revolvers you can buy them for about 75 dollars).

out of the two you listed I say Evil Pipe.

The Evil pipe kit is a great choice. It's not too expensive, costing about $80 shipped. Good range of bores and super slick micro-honed surfaces inside the barrel. It's a well made barrel kit which lets you easily match the paint to the correct bore, allows you to shoot through breaks if you chop or get a barrel break, and you'll be extremely happy with it.

The J&J should be a good barrel kit as well. The quality of barrel kits made today are great. It's so good, you're final consideration may come down to which barrel kit you think looks the best.

Well, when you say you have "many ups" does that include a reg? If not you may want to invest in a reg AND a single barrel. I recommend CP for both, that should be about $100 total, $20 more than you said you have, but easily obtainable. Those two things are what will dramatically improve your groupings. Even if you decide to get a new gun, you can swap the CP reg out and put the old foregrip back on the spyder. That, and you'll only be spending $40 for a barrel rather than $80+.

The Evil Pipe is a great Barrel kit, I would go with that, I think it is one of the better kits.

I'm going to go for the evil pipe. The only problem is that I can't find the site that had it for $80 with free shipping. I've been all over froogle and still can't find the thing. If someone can post a link It would be much appreciated

The Empire 7 pc barrel kit I have seen for around 42.00 but I forget which site I saw it. I have an A5 and this kit rocks. My buddy has an Angel and an evil kit. My marker keeps right up with his for alot less money.

If you know any one who has the Empire check it out. You can't go wrong
