I am getting my new shocker tomorrow and I am wondering what I should do first. I have a full nitro tank right now. Do I have to degas the tank or can I screw it in? It is a 114 3000PSI. I was told that I need to keep the tank in at all times because I will blow the solenoids if I screw in and out. Is this true. I really don't want to have to leave my tank on, I like taking it off and degassing my gun after playing or being able to unscrew and screw it back in. Is there a way around this or what should I do. Also, I f I get an on/off in between the tank and reg, wouldn't that essentially be like screwing the tank in once I turned it on?

Thanks

PS - I also have a max-flo reg that is mounted vertically as a grip on my gun. Also what is the fitting coming out of the front of the reg?

The fitting is a space filler where the manifold used to be (Manifold = where the max-flow bottomline connects with the max-flo itself when the reg is bottom mounted. I have one too).

What you need to do is get an on/off valve put at the gas-in connection on the reg.

I'm trying to figure out why the body of your gun is anno'd splash but the rest of the gun (from what I can see) isn't.

I'm also clueless on what that red ring on your ASA is.

Will an on/off fit in that small place between the trigger and reg where the gas in is? Also if I go and get an on/off today, can I at that point leave my tank screwed in and turn it on/off with that or will hat still let too much pressure through? Sorry for the ignorance but I never had people tell me this on my cocker and I haven't had any problems....

Yes you can leave the tank in. When you turn the on/off to the on position, make sure you do it slowly.

It should fit, I have a friend who put one there and he has no problem with it.

What Das said or another helpful little tip is to decrease the pressure on your maxflo when you put the tank in. If you don't know what I ma talking about, just basically screw the little cap on the bottom of the maxflo almost right off. Then after you have screwed your tank in to the asa, slowly screw the reg cap back on. then the pressure in your reg will increase and your gun will become operational again without risk to your solinoids.

Does the Shocker 4X4 not do three round burst, etc. If so how do you set it? By thw way, the gun came yesterday and I set it up and played. It is the first time I have played with a shocker ever. I have to say the accuracy on this thing BLOWS MY COCKER AWAY! People would just have a little bit of google sticking out and I would hit them directly in the center of their goggles from 75+ ft.away with only 2 or 3 shots. The rate of fire is nutz too. This gun is awesome and I think my cocker will be my backup, where as before it was going to be the other way. Do you think there is a place that I can get a green splash barrel to match my gun?

Unless the marker is a select fire marker, you will not have 3 round burst. If it is a select fir marker there will be a little toggle switch on the front of the gun. From what I am hearing from you you said you ahd the 4x4. If that is so, then you won't have 3 round burst on it, just semi-auto. Like I said. You should be able to tell by seeing a toggle switch out of the front of the marker, and from what I can see in the piture you ahve posted, you don't have one. Sorry, but really, its not that necessary. Just more for fun. Hope you enjoy it.

by the way....the red thing in the ASA was just a thread protector.....I also bypassed the need for on/off by just doing what C4pyro said with the max-flo. It works great. That max-flo reg is consistant. I had 3 duplicates in a row on my chrono.

I was just wondering you list your gun as a 2K1 but it has a completely different Shocker insignia than mine. Are you sure it's not a 2K. Just curious.

What does your insignia look like? It may be a 2K I wasn't sure...I just knew that it was brand new...

On the same side of the gun where you have the oval blue insignia, my gun is somewhat different. Behind the feed tube I have an indention which runs about 3 inches and the SHOCKER plastic piece is oblong within the indention.

i thought the 2k1 had some milling down by the grip frame? that one doesnt seem to have it.

That one has a 2k1 gripframe but the body itself is either a 2k or 99.
