I wonder if there's anyone else that has ever tried playing with a pistol as their primary weapon. That's unlikely because most people with the money to invest in a sidearm already have some tricked out gun that they couldn't bear to put down for a moment. I went a different way though. First I got a nice Tippmann Prolite so I wouldn't have to rent a gun every time I played. After a friend told me about the PT Enforcer, I haven't looked back since. Now I've got an Enforcer, two Professionals, and my poor Tippmann. I feel sorry for my poor neglected Tippmann. I haven't shown it any attention for a while now. At least it gets play. I let my friends use it while I go out with my pistol(s).
So anyway, is there anyone else out there who has tried using just a pistol for at least one round? I play speedball with it and one ref at the field says that I get as many eliminations as he does and I only use one tenth the paint. I miss woodsball though. I wish there was a byop woodsball field nearby. In woodsball, using only a pistol, I am the picture of stealth.
So give pistols a chance. In the words of Ferris Bueller, "If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up."

I have before, and sucked at it. I hope to try again on Sunday, and promise this time I'll be much more aggressive.

When I had a tippmann, I used my pt xtreme alot. I was 11 then, and not very strong so I was actually more accurate with the PT than my tippy cause it is so light. it's also fun to bunker ppl with! But, never thelless, my weekly funds can't keep up with the frowing amount of paint I use so I might have to sell it....

Any stories?
First game last time I went out. It was just a little 3 on 3 in a spool field so I easily made it to the 50 on the break. Everybody got all nice and settled in and started trading paint. Me, I sit there with my 10 rounds and 3 spare clips and wait. One of the little kids to my right tried to move up, but hastily scrambled back when he saw me shooting at him. I fired three times and hit him in the lower leg. I call for a paint check but the ref didn't see it! That kinda annoyed me, so I rolled out one bunker to the right and prepared to bunker him. Before I did though, I saw his father all the way on the left flank. I totally had the angle on him. I fired once to sight, the second time for adjustment, and hit him on the second ball. The ref saw that one this time and called him out. Just as I'm about to send his son to the sideline to meet him, I get hit in the foot through a hole in the bottom of the spool triple. It was that little kid! I'm not a poor sport, so I go to the sideline. Of course the first thing I did was go check out that kid from the side and I saw that giant pink splotch on his leg, big as a business card. I call the ref over and point it out to him. Someone else, I think the other ref said it was "kneeling paint" but it wasn't near his knee, it was on his calf. So on this second judgement, he's eliminated, and I'm left hanging in the wind since nobody cared to reverse the judgement of my elimination. Oh well, eliminating 2/3 of the other team is okay, but 3/3 would've been nicer...:D
P.S. For those who were keeping track, that's a 40% hit ratio:laugh:
