Hey guys I was thinking about getting a omen over a superstock. I love cockers I own two mechanicle ones. I love the closed bolt feature of a autococker but then I found this gun. Its just I dont like the maintence on them. I want something I can fix my own. I can fix a cocker but it just takes a lot of time and research. I have seen the omen 1.5 shoot paint and a 2.0 dry fire. it seems like a good gun. It seems like it can rip paint pretty fast. I was talking to a ref working at a pro shop and he said its like a spyder and a cocker put together pretty much saying its crap. I dont know if I should believe that but it seems like a ok gun for 300 bucks. Anyways tell me your thoughts on it.

I would just Eblade one of your mech cockers. Autocockers function better than Omens IMO, omens are just hybrid blowbacks.

DO NOT BUY THIS GUN!!!!!!!!!! You will spend more time repairing this then playing paintball!!!!
This gun will chop paint like crazy, will leak air like mad and just not work!
I can say this as this was the first gun that I owned. Numerous trips to the local PB store (that sold the Omen) still could not correct the problems this gun had.
I sent it back to PMI 2 times. The first time it worked for about two hours! When I got it back after the second time I SOLD IT!!!!!!!!!
In my opinion, this has been the worst PB gun EVER made!!!!!! Evil's rep has been somewhat tarnished by this nightmare known as the Omen!!!!!!
As I first said, DO NOT BUY THIS GUN!!!! Save your money and buy a used DM4. Good luck.

Fireman....how do you know that your experience with the Omen will be the same for the next person that purchases the Omen??? Unfortunately you ended up with a defected marker or a really bad one. Also, it being your first marker and all...do you think you really knew how to use it..or knew enough about it??? Maybe the guys at your proshop didn't have any or little experience with the Omen 2.0 and thats why they degraded it and suggested something that they were more familiar and experienced with.
Maybe evil's customer service should have replaced the whole marker with a new one but sometimes even customer service makes mistakes...

i would also say "Do not buy this guy", a my brother bought this gun and all i can say that it is an elaborated electronic piranha. he does not know anyting about paintball and i had to show him how to take it apart and clean it. and the internals are identical concept to the piranha. its basically a stacked tube blow back with a closed bolt. IMO

Eblade your cocker, with an Eblade installed a lot of the tuning is done electronically, and so the cocker will be easier to tech, faster, and should be a much better performer than an Omen.
