Hey whats up,I've had a spyder for about 3 years now and when i first got it i didnt play too much. Lately I've started playing more and i upgraded a few parts on it. I play about once or twice a month now and i'm selling my spyder. i was wondering which gun i should get now a mag or cocker? i have a nitro tank already and im looking to spend around 350 on a used gun so i dont have to pay a lot to upgrade it myself. anyway plz gimmie some suggestions on which gun i should buy and why. thanks

if you don't want to upgrade alot then a mag would be you bet, but if you are looking into tournies, the cocker is supreme but becomes quite an investment, so mag, new barrel, good to go, cockers? well there a whole **** load of stuff for em, take a look at the PGI electro, they seem cheap an easy

Go with acocker they are awsome guns they are quite once you get a new barrel on them and they are probably the most upgrade able guns they are awsome I would recomend this gun the only thing wrong with them is they dont work well in the winter but that shouldnt matter

You can get a new mag from http://www.BBTpaintball.com for 300 bucks which comes with a Bottom Line and a Tru Flight or a JJ Ceramic barrell.

Why dont you try the diffrent guns and pick the one you most feel comfortable with. There's more than one gun on the market for a reason, everyones critiria is diffrent.

Depends on how you play and what position you play(if your on a team). If your a forward, get a mag. If you play back, get a cocker. Both guns are equally good. The mag is just smaller and lighter, but there is more upgrades for the cocker.

i agree with ajc, but heres a basic list of pros and cons-
Mag-
+Higher ROF, and potential for prolly the highest, has someone beat 26 yet?
+Like a tank, wont break whether you try or not
+small and compact
+great short range acc
+internals are fine unless you wnat a ReTro valve(230+, so....)
+rarely chops, unless you short stroke it
-long range acuracy is not as good as some
-not REAL upgradeable
-HAVE to buy barrel and hoses/air fittings
Cocker-
+No need to buy hoses/barrel
+Great long and short range accuracy
+wont break unless its messed with
+rarely chops unless you short stroke it(seem familiar)
+VERY upgradeable
-ROF is not as good as some
-mess with it and theres a good chance it will break or lose timing
-on the heavy side....not REAL heavy, butt noticeable
hope i helped
I would never buy a cocker used, it is the worst thing u could possibly do, a cocker used u never know what u could get and u could lose alot of money! find a nice used mag for that price and u will definitly get a unbelievebly good deal, most mags for sale will work unlike all cockers no offense to cocker people, but i would not buy a used cocker, however if u like cockers i would go with a high end one, i like those...

Cockers are quieter than mags and cockers are naturally more accurate because of closed bolt. I can outshoot a 12v hopper with my cocker so I don't see the point on buying a gun to shoot 26 balls per second. You can fine tune the cocker to how you like it. The stock 2000+ cockers come with great parts. If you do not wish to upgrade anything you do not have to, the trigger pull is nice and smooth and it has good regs on it. Its just that the cocker has so many visible parts its just instinct to want to buy new shiny colorfull ones. However barrel isn't too good, but that is true for ANY stock gun. Cockers are heavier, but after a few games it will feel like the first itme you picked up a spyder. Bottomline, cockers own the non electro, high end class of markers, nothing else beats them. Go watch some tournies at http://www.pigtv.com, you will see electros and cockers. Although I don't look too hard when I watch those, but I hardly see mags. The pros use cockers the most for a non electro for a reason.
