Topic.

Two days ago, I got a R/T. The shop I got it from includes installation for free. Well, yesterday I picked it up. I tried it out in my back yard for about 20 minutes and was pretty surprised at how nicely it performed.

Earlier today, I brought it to team practice. It worked for about an hour, then became completely screwed up. The sensitivity was still good, everything looked good from the outside too. The problem was, the little nub that would normally push the trigger back forward was staying back. It didn't go back forward with the trigger, but as soon as I pulled the trigger it went back and stayed back :dodgy: . It was too far back to even touch the trigger anymore.

So, I've never really done any modding at all to my gun. I don't know exactly how to do anything to the internals, nor do I know what much of the R/T's parts do or are called

My question is do you think there's any way I can easily fix this? I know, I should be able to take it back to them and have them fix it for free...(but if I did that, I'd have to wait until Tuesday to drop it off, Thursday to get it back  )

Other then making the shop fix it for free...is there anything you know I can do to fix it? I don't exactly feel like waiting that long to have it fixed. :|

Take the metal piston out of your r/t (inside that metal cyclender inside your grip), oil it a little, re-install and see if that works. If it does not something blocking up your r/t. I'll recomend you to "Tippmann Problem Guide" thread that orangebatman (mostly) and me and teh face created. It has things on problems with r/ts. Feel free to ask anymore questions on this thread if that guide does not help.

well it sounds like you might have been using the same tank through all of this, so check to see if your tank is empty, and make sure your r/t has no leaks, check all the hoses and make sure they are on properly, and if not, correct! -all of this came from the tippmann problem guide, which, as funny as it seems, helps with your problems:dodgy: theres also a way to check for air leaks on there that involvs water

OK, I'll check that topic. I hit CTRL+F and put in "Response" and nothing came up...I guess I'll look for it manually or just try what Captain Morgan said.

NOTE: I tried it with more than one tank, so that can't be the problem. I also checked for leaks.

EDIT: OK, I read the FAQ but I have a question...something about needing a kit for a cyclone / R/T? I'm not sure if this applies for the A-5 or not..? Does it? If not, I guess I'll have to try the water or Cpt Morgan's method.

No... you get a r/t for a A-5... you get the parts needed. My bet is you have something stuck somewhere. I have opened mine up and found actual metal chips from god knows where.

Well, I opened it up and didn't find a thing in the way or anything. I think I'm just gonna make the shop fix it for me, I don't want to risk messing anything up... :dodgy:

Oh well, we aren't having another game/practice until next weekend. I was just anxious to try it out :(

Macks... make sure tha Co2 tank you were using was more than halfway.. cuz the r/t doesnt werk if tha tank is 1/4 gas or less

You CAN NOT mess up a r/t... it is so simple. Do the water test thing I recomend. Take out your entire r/t, all the lines and fittings all and attack them all to eachother, remove r/t piston, submerge it all conected into water, bring it out of water, blow water out, oil up your r/t piston and put your gun back together. If you ever want to be self reliant... this is where it starts. YOU NEED TO KNOW YOUR GUN. Thats my advice. Its up to you if you want to pay the shop to fix it... it is a nothing problem. My shop would laugh at me if I asked them to fix my tippy... probably wouldn't know how to do it because high ends break down... not a tippy. Thats my advice. Got any other questions you can ask.

OK, I tried the 'water treatment' and I'll be trying out my R/T again tomorrow after I pick up some air. Thanks a lot for the help, I hope it works...
