OH YA I FORGOT- IF THE GUN DOESNT COCK, TAKE SOME TAPE OFF! it means ur setting the sear too low, and u have too much tape, so the trigger is so far back its always on the sear. jsut taeke off one layer at a time if this happens.
What I did to reduce my trigger pull was put a piece of cardboard on top of my sear. Once I get my digital camera back I'll post pics. It works the same way as tape.
I also put a piece of wood about 9mm inside the trigger spring. That made the distance the trigger from beginning to end shorter. I tried to replace the trigger spring with one from a mechanical pen, but it wouldn't make the sear recock sometimes.
If I can find a spring a little stronger then a pen spring and stretch it out to match the same length as the trigger spring then the trigger pull will be lighter.
I kinda got it to work once and my gun work awesome, but then I lost the spring after I pulled it out to stretch it out a little bit more.

i was going to try this, but my trigger is no where near that long as the one in the picture. i havent done anything to it, and it is almost straight down with probably only a 10mm pull. am i missing something?

So wouldn't that reduce/eliminate sear wearage???

So i have to take the trigger frame off first. Then take the accual trigger part off, and put tape around the end of it. Right...Can someone help me with this?
Note i Have a Rebel 2002 gun so it has a .45 Trigger frame. Not the standered Rebel one

You don't have to take out the trigger, just stick tape on it and shove the extra tape on the sides through the little gaps and stick it on the side of the trigger( nice explanation huh  ).
Oh yeah and my '01 Rebel Deluxe came with a 45 Grip frame...........only problem is it's plastic :(

anywayz is there another way to take out the trigger other than taking the pins out. I dunno how to and i dont wanna risk f***ing up my gun.

you don't need to take the trigger out...just stick the tape on the top (cut it so it will fit perfectly) and then cut a small strip to make all that stick to the sides, i used a tooth pick to press it to the sides..
P.S. Can we make this a sticky? this is an awesome trigger job. and all the other forums have their own trigger job..

Yeah i did it without taking the trigger out but then my trigger pull doesnt go down to the 2-3mm pull other ppl has. It's not much shorter than the regular trigger pull but u don't have to pull back as far to activate it.

ya, i could have had a 2 mm pull but i decided i wanted the use of my saftey (very helpful when you're hauling you, your gear, and everybody else's with a gassed up marker up a steep hill for several hundered yards). so its now a little bigger than 3mm. so what u have might be a blessing in descuise. It was for me. Besides, rebels can only get about 9 bps, (even less without a revy) so shooting any faster is a waste as i see it.
the trigger job worked great, thx tic tacs.......is there anyway we can make this a 32* sticky??
Thx,
DoM :peace:

AARRRGGGHHH!!! TAPE!!!! THAT'S IT!!! (pulling out hair)
I tried my own trig job but the only thing i could think of to minimize the pull was by guing a piece of plastic on there...
It took me like 5 times to get it to stick... Why didn't i think of tape!!! :banghead: :banghead:

Holy resurrecting batman.
That's all the stuff I did on my rebel. I did the inchup mod too...so the trigger frame was moved forward an inch on the body = better balance. No pics though. And this was 2 years ago, at least.
